Abby & Libby - The Delphi Murders - Richard Allen Arrested - #208

He searched for scary movies. In October... of 2022. Good grief. I bet loads of people have done the same thing, especially over the Halloween season. Mooo.
I don't disagree with you. I would also guess from the terms used that he had a specific movie in mind and was attempting to find the title. I think that may have been why he clicked on that "65 best kidnapping movies" list, to see if it was there as opposed to just browsing for movies maybe, I've done similar things when trying to remember a movie.

I did think the subject matter, given what happened to Abby and Libby, was mildly- mildly- worth noting. More interested though in the "Delphi murders update" searched five times in a single week. That's a lot imo and I'm saying that as someone who's literally on a true crime website posting repeatedly on a thread about the murders.

I'm so disappointed in the admissions of guilt. I honestly was expecting more along the lines of a detailed confession. I at least hoped they had the blue coat. OR a signed CVS statement regarding the kind of box cutters they bought for employees.

Please don't tell me that I'm never, ever going to know what that white thing in his jacket was.
That white thing is bugging me, too.

They requested that he be moved to a different facility many, many times in many different ways. It was always denied.
Until suddenly, for reasons unknown, in the absence of a written reasoning (at least one that I am aware of), Justice Gull vacated the "safekeeping" order during the three day pre trial hearings in August 2024 (in brackets because I would describe that as many things, but safe would not be included in my description - moo)

I can't make sense of not presenting the geofence data, which resulted in the FBI contacting witnesses in the months following the murders.

His phone not being on there is strong evidence that Allen was not on his phone as he claimed (checking stock quotes). It's just really strange not to delve into that.
Option A: RA wasn’t using his phone like he said! He lied!

Or Option B: RA wasn’t there like he said!

Hmmmm. One seems more apparent to be correct than the other.

The MS are reporting that in their opinion both say RA (from the phone calls) sounds like BG. They admit that's not evidence, it's just their opinions. Word they used: gobsmacked.
No wonder defense has worked hard to prevent the public from hearing his recorded voice.

Well folks that’s it. It’s a bit of an odd feeling. I know I came into this on pins and needles excited to see what the P had up their sleeve. “Oh man all these years we get to see dna, prints, Allen’s slime all over the scene, witnesses” I thought.

We saw nothing we didn’t already know including Allen. Every day the only revelation was how shoddy and forced this case is. And we are here, defense up to bat.

The only question now is how hard is defense going to drill. They probably could just refine some points and rest but they will certainly use their full time allotment to secure appeals and cover bases.

The next couple weeks are going to be dreadful if you’re not objective.

Hang on tight!
Literally hundreds if not thousands of people know the details of this case better than the lead investigator does. Appalling, isn’t it?

He's in a jail cell right now, probably threatening to kill a guard.

Might want to add a MOO to that with all the reasonable doubt.

MOO

I’m pretty sure @MassGuy can fend for himself, but the way I read his statement above doesn’t require the MOO.

It is a FACT that RA is in a jail cell now.

The word “probably” is a qualifier. It diminishes the phrase “threatening to kill a guard” from a fact into an opinion.

Why would his testimony be impeached? I don't listen to podcasts about this trial, so just asking for a brief answer if you can. Is it another conspiracy theory? TIA

ETA:
RA was very clear in his mention of the van driving by that interrupted his attack on the girls. The property owner Brian Weber owned a van and drove it there at that time, after he left work. What's the problem? Bottom line, RA gave specific information about something that happened during his attack on the girls, information LE only partially had before, but were able to verify after hearing RA's confession.

I'm reluctant to say it, but if following trials in the future means having to wade through a lot of conspiracy theories, I'll probably give up following them. CT gives me a headache.

Samuel Little when he described some of his victims, even decades later, never forgot any of the details that only the killer would know.

He had a really good memory
.

One time he was almost caught red handed by LE just after unaliving one victim inside his car, but because LE didn't look inside he went on for a number of decades before finally being caught.

He really seemed to like slender necks, but would recall body types, eye colours and even things like arguments or if things were going fine before strangling this one or that one. He remembered faces and maybe even names for some of them or he was able to put a face to a name.

When arrested he even took LE to some locations that he remembered to recover skeletal remains, if recoverable.

For me, Richard Allen's confessions lack intrinsic in-depth details.

It’s still possible, if they ever find out who actually committed this crime.

And his 60+ confessions that he DID do it are Testimony enough, plus admitting he was there, at the bridge that day, plus knowing about the Van, that "interrupted" his SA on 2 Innocent girls so then he felt he had to Slice their Throats.

It would be quite interesting if he took the stand, but IMO, I do not see that happening.

<modsnip>

He is a loose cannon.- They won't risk it.

He doesn't need to take the stand and I wouldn't expect it.

IMHO RA cannot reveal that which he does not know. While it is possible that Wala fed him details of a “white van” she had gleaned from her numerous social media accounts, how the clothes ended up as they were is something she or others would not likely know. Only the killer(s) know that detail.

Regardless, it already appears that Weber’s testimony is about to be impeached. The D has him cornered. It’s very interesting to listen to how it’s all going down. JMHO

It sure is interesting that RA never mentioned anything about the clothing, ever. That actually was one of the case details that very few people knew.

Do think Samuel Little's uncanny ability to remember details is typical of killers? Or, indeed, most non-killers?
