how did they land? and how does one gauge how branches could or could not land? Are you basing your analysis on the drawings made by those in the court room approximating the crime scene and branch placement?
Yes I am basing that on what has come out from the court room. It is obvious the sticks did not land the way they did randomly-IMO

Your opinion. I think RA covered the major slashing injuries for whatever reasoning (distancing) and then put whatever was handy on them just to try and cover them up as much as possible from the view of the other side.

My Opinion Only
Yes, IMO the placement was intentional-as opposed to randomly tossed on them? ???

I think a hung jury is a definite possibility.

Why is it obvious? Ra deliberately laid the branches down in his own way to partially cover the girls. You’re overthinking these branches imo

#Delphi: it was 36 degrees earlier this morning, the Carroll County EMS stopped by to bring the public and media hot packs. So appreciated. Thank you, Delphi.

#Delphi: community members made signs decorated in blue and purple — Abby and Libby’s favorite colors. They’re handing them out to residents to display around the courthouse in remembrance of the girls.

Before anyone has a conniption--they are specifically only displaying them across the street from the courthouse on the sides of the courthouse that aren't where the jury enters/approaches as well as not in front of the building.

He doesn’t, IMO it sounds like someone in a completely hopeless place in completely hopeless circumstances and has just completely given up and in that moment just signaling to his wife to start accepting he isn’t getting out and maybe move on
It sounds, to me, like someone who was wracked with guilt and fear because he had made a momentous mistake and his life would never be the same and he was trying to figure out how to deal with it.

No, Im not overthinking it. IMO those branches/sticks were intentionally placed and I base that on how they were arranged on them

Whether they were tossed randomly or intentionally placed to try to cover the worst of the injuries is irrelevant IMO

FWIW, I feel they could easily have been tossed randomly atop the bodies, except perhaps the largest one described to be across Libby, but since I haven't seen the crime scene photos I can't actually see it or know how heavy it may have been. JMO MOO

I think deliberately and intentionally are both right. BG placed the sticks deliberately & intentionally over the victims to camouflage the scene. IMO

I didn’t see an answer here as to why the jury might call the defendant back in during deliberations. I can only guess that it’s a standard part of jury instructions.

All I can cite is what Google told me, and given RA didn’t testify, he would have nothing to add.

“Jury might call the defendant back in during deliberations if they have a specific question about a piece of evidence related to the defendant's actions or testimony that they need clarified to reach a verdict, essentially wanting to directly ask the defendant for additional information to fully understand the case.”

Can they really do that? Ask him a question I mean? What would they be allowed to ask? Did you really see a white van coming down the road? Why did you have a bullet in your keepsake box? Why did you confess so many times?

I don't, but it's been proven to me quite recently that I don't know squat about diddly.

Agree, he was absolutely wracked with guilt and fear. Not guilt of him having committed the crime but guilt of what him simply being accused of something so horrible and what it has done to his family and fear for their well being

How long does ring camera footage last? I wonder if any neighbor's cameras caught his car returning home on video and better yet him walking out of the car.
Probably something a lot more helpful in 2017.

IMO it’s relevant as IMO it goes to his mental state during the crime

I've seen a lot of people say that they hope that Libby's video is made public after the trial.

In last night's The Murder Sheet episode, they talked about how during the closing the prosecution played the video again, first the un-enhanced version followed by the stabilized version. Last time it was shown in court, the hosts were seated at awkward angle to the screen. Yesterday they had a good view of it.

Both of them stated that the fear in Abby's face as she hurries toward Libby is visible, obvious, and heartbreaking.

I don't want to see that part. Ever.

They did mention how you see BG somewhat in the distance at first, then the camera goes down for a bit, and the next time it comes up he is much much closer before the camera then goes quickly downward again and is followed shortly by "Guys..."

Just random but it's interesting to me that the defense has never offered up any proof that RA could not have committed the crime because he was someplace else.

I know that particular deceased equine has been beaten multiple redundant times already.

I think it's not that the jury might have questions of RA, it's that this is his trial, a jury of his peers, and any questions the jurors have have to be asked in front of him, which would of course imply in front of his Defense, the State and the Court.
