I have a very vague memory that something was found up in a tree. Does anyone else remember that?

One of the technology dogs found a trail cam.

Erin’s defence lawyer, Sophie Stafford, is cross-examining Tanya Patterson.

Under questioning, Tanya agrees Erin leant her and Matthew about $400,000 to help purchase their home.

Here the defence are at it again ... "she lent them money, what a great in-law, why would she want to poison some of them?"

Erin declines offer to help identify Asian food store

By Melissa Brown

In an attempt to narrow down which store Erin bought the mushrooms from, Dr McDermott says he offered to list all the Chinese food stores in Oakleigh.

But he says she told him she wouldn’t be able to recall even if he named each shop.

He says she then told him she'd bought the mushrooms several months before, in April, so wouldn't remember the name.

He says he again offered to name the stores and she then replied that the store may have been in Glen Waverley.

 Sure I'll help you .....not

Ok, so surely now, the prosecution / investigators, would be able to triangulate her phone movements in April... Was she even in Glen Waverley / Oakleigh area in April? If so, where? Even without a phone, modern car GPS map data can be downloaded.

I'm sure this is the case for many of the jurors. Holding the trial one hour away from Leongatha is hardly a way of ensuring an impartial jury.

"Accused triple mushroom killer Erin Patterson is happy to wait behind bars for more than a year if it means her murder case can be held near her regional Victorian home.

He asked Patterson's barrister, Colin Mandy SC, if the case could be moved to Melbourne Magistrates Court or fast-tracked to the Supreme Court.

Mandy said Patterson wanted the committal hearing to be heard at the Latrobe Valley Magistrates Court."

Erin told him the mushrooms from a Chinese store had been bought “several months before.”

Perhaps a partial truth ... the mushrooms were foraged (by her) several months before.

A 'calm and nonchalant' Erin taken to Melbourne by ambulance

By Melissa Brown

Paramedic Eleyne Spencer says Erin told them she had had diarrhoea up to 30 times before going to hospital.

But during the one hour and 40 minute trip from Leongatha to the Monash Medical Centre, she did not need to use the toilet.

Ms Spencer said during the trip, Erin complained of a headache that she rated as being 7 out of 10 on the pain scale.

She says her partner called the Poisons Information line to see if paracetamol would interact with the liver medication she'd already taken.

She says they were advised to give Erin fentanyl, and it was administered to her.

She described Erin as being “calm and nonchalant” during the trip, and that it was an uneventful journey.

7/10 headache you say ( that's severe on the pain scale ) , here is a nice strong drug for you -for your suffering - in your “calm and nonchalant” state ( very different from your dinner guests )

Erin’s lawyer, Colin Mandy SC, is cross-examining Spencer

Spencer agrees that after the call to the Victorian Poisons Information Centre, Erin was interested about the issue of liver toxicity.

“In that context you observed she was calm and chatty,” Mandy says.

Spencer says “yes.”

The cross-examination concludes.

Yeah that’s awfully interesting. What’s on the trail cam, I wonder? How fascinating.

The paramedic did, in Erin's presence.
Erin also reported a “seven out 10” headache and was given fentanyl because of the potential liver side-effects from paracetamol. Spencer’s colleague called the Victorian Poisons Information Centre who advised fentanyl could be administered.
Hang on. When did she call the poisons centre?

I wonder what Erin would have done if her children happened to like mushrooms?

  • #914
So we have paramedics ring the poisons centre, when Erin knows panadol for her would have been more than ok

A toxicologist googling Asian shops for mushrooms, concerned about public health, when his time most definitely should have been focused on Erin's dying alleged victims.

She's evil

So diabolical. She knows the whole time she’s not invested death caps and nor have her children.

Testimony of adolescent daughter of the Pattersons begins

By Judd Boaz

The adolescent daughter of Simon and Erin is speaking with an interviewer, who explains how the interview will work to the young girl.

The interview goes over the definition of truth and lies with the Pattersons' daughter.

The girl becomes emotional and says she doesn't know why she is being interviewed.

She eventually says she thinks she is being interviewed to talk about the lunch at her mum's house.

"I wasn't there so I don't know what happened," she says.

Tears flow as Erin Patterson watches her daughter give testimony

K
By Kristian Silva

The court is being shown a video of Erin Patterson's daughter's police interview.

Erin, in the court dock, has begun crying as she watches on.

The footage, taken at the Morwell Police Station, shows the then-nine-year-old being interviewed by a police officer. She is seated on a green armchair, her legs so short they don't even touch the ground.

A police officer sits opposite the girl, across from a small wooden table where a tissue box and coloured pencils are placed.
