I'm very curious about this too actually. I think it would be suppressed if found not guilty as it wasn't part of the trial?
If it was only reported in overseas media, then it was probably suppressed.

Otherwise it could be that the prosecution chose not to use it as evidence in the case, and they did not know Erin would be in the witness box with a new story about eating a cake and vomiting. IMO

Or just plain old manipulation??

Sorry, I don't understand what you're getting at, we are obviously on different trains of thought.

I would also want to hear about any actual diagnoses she has. If she doesn't have a diagnosis, then I'd take that with a grain of salt, even coming from Simon who'd know her better than anyone. There are personality disorders that have some superficial similarities to autism, including masking behaviours, but it really needs a clinical diagnosis to be sure.
I've got a feeling earlier on in this thread that it was mentioned that Erin said that she saw a psych?

Don't worry about it.............it really doesn't mater if she's on the spectrum or not IMO

I'm not suggesting nor thinking it does matter

I'm thinking we'll find out during sentencing because if she does have any diagnoses at all, it/they could be mitigating factors

EP strikes me as the kind of person who would keep a diary to make a record of the dates when she felt she had been wronged and she could unload her opinions about her family. She certainly had the time to complete one.

If she did I wonder if they made a trip to the tip?

A new episode of Mushroom Case Daily has dropped, answering some of the questions they weren't able to answer during the trial. Apparently only available on the ABC website and app for the moment.

The box the dehydrator came in?
That was bought back in May, coincidentally the same day DC's were allegedly viewed on iNaturalist

I'm glad that EP has a friend.

No matter what I don't like to think of anyone as being totally alone in the world.
Well she had at least four other friends, until she decided to murder them. These friends by all accounts were nothing but kind to her.
I'm not sure Erin has the empathy or understanding of what friendship means.

Oh, okay.

Still doesn't make sense as a 9 second trip IMO. Its realistically a few seconds of time in the actual bathroom.

Only time to dump something small in a bin or see if the toilet is out of order.

Yes, there has to be a personality type for those who are still defending her even now. There's a couple of ratbag creators on Tik Tok who are using every excuse under the sun for her...

Some of the 'flying monkeys" that we've heard about?

Probably.

The old saying goes: Revenge is a dish best served cold.

(meaning later, in cold blood, rather than in the heat of the moment, not hot beef wellingtons :p )

There may have been others going up and down that hallway, I can see her disposing of whatever it was in a bin in an empty hallway. I would wonder whether whoever emptied the bins would have noticed something unusual in there, but maybe they just didn't care or think it was worthy of attention. Considering this was before she was arrested but unsure of when she was a POI at this stage.
She was a POI on Tuesday, 2 days after the servo visit.

I don't understand anyone seeing the good in someone like Erin Patterson, or blaming it on her childhood.

Agree, it's puzzling to me.

Negative childhood experiences undeniably do shape us and may explain us - but they don't excuse us. As adults, we have the power to take responsibility for the rest of our lives.

We can stay wallowing in blame and self-pity, or we can stand up tall and choose to be loyal and genuinely accountable to ourselves for our own actions and happiness - both for our own well-being, and for those around us who rely on our integrity, presence, and emotional maturity.

Only by accepting full responsibility for ourselves can we truly move forwards.

I believe that accepting blame is something EP has never done - even once - in any area whatsoever of her entire childhood or adult life. And thus we see the devastating outcome.

The large black speaker looking thing that Martin Keep has, could it be a very sensitive microphone (as I am not sure what use a speaker would be to him)?

One of the hallmarks of a narcissist. All their problems are caused by someone else and they project their own behaviour onto those around them. Impossible to live with.

I think that large black cone around his camera lens is to capture as much of the reflected inside image from his flash units as possible, given that the van windows are tinted dark.

Without that cone he would likely just capture his own reflection back off the window glass.

I think we can drop the word coincidentally

Xanthé M. who is a forensic anthropologist, calls out the possibility of Erin Patterson potentially being both a narcissist and having a borderline personality diagnosis and being unmedicated, and the potential consequences of that. About 7 minutes into the podcast episode.

Then from around 12minutes in, Xanthé alludes to Erin being a narcissistic psychopath and thinking she can outsmart everybody.

Is Xanthé serious?

I know she’s spoken to her friend Tim Watson Munro who is an Australian criminal psychologist - but it’s her opinion she’s giving, she can’t really speak on behalf of Tim.

I know she’s an Associate Professor but I still don’t think she has the qualifications to diagnose Erin - quite apart from the fact that she has had no access to Erin and has never even spoken to her.
