That’s crazy!
His honesty and assessment of a dangerous situation while speaking out is what WE ALL should expect from our fellow humans
I honestly think they have to be mentally disturbed.

Maybe they see traits in Erin that they have themselves and that makes them defend her.
Hmm. Who could these people possibly be, calling Dr Webster a misogynist because he used derogatory language about a murderer?

I'm glad that EP has a friend.

No matter what I don't like to think of anyone as being totally alone in the world.
When this tragic mess started, EP was not alone in the world. She had her two loving children with her very day, her husband who co-parented with her, his parents, who tried to be her support system, and her online friend group, whom she considered close friends.

She was not alone in this world at that time. But her own actions blew up her little family. And now her world is much smaller and lonelier, imo.

I was honestly surprised at the Doctor coming out saying the things he did and the words he used.

Fantastic sleuthing @CityKid, pretty sure you're right on the money there.
Thanks! Someone else (I wish I could find the post to give full credit!) had basically put together a timeline of her CV, which IMO doesn't pass the smell test. She spends a good amount of time training for one thing (air traffic controller, for one example), then soon gets caught behaving unprofessionally (pretending to be co-workers calling in sick so she could pick up their extra shifts), then she's on to studying at a new career.

EXCLUSIVE: Erin Patterson Allegedly Attempted to Poison Six Inmates at Dame Phyllis Frost Centre.

Erin Patterson, infamously known as the "Mushroom Killer," has allegedly extended her murderous intentions behind bars, targeting six fellow inmates at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, Outlaw Media can exclusively reveal.

According to a prison incident report obtained by Outlaw Media, Patterson devised a chilling plan to slowly poison six women in her unit.

The report details allegations that she served inmates eggs she had deliberately frozen, aiming to induce bacterial contamination and make them gravely ill.

Further claims suggest that frozen eggshell fragments caused internal bleeding in several victims, necessitating emergency medical intervention.

While poisoning via frozen eggs may seem an unconventional method, sources close to the prison warn that Patterson’s cunning nature demands constant vigilance.

Following today’s guilty verdict, Patterson is expected to be transferred to a protection unit, a move her legal team is likely to challenge as they prepare an appeal.

How do you thaw frozen eggs?

AI Overview

To thaw frozen eggs, place them in the refrigerator overnight or submerge them in a bowl of cold water, changing the water every 30 minutes until thawed. Avoid thawing eggs on the counter at room temperature or in hot water, as this can lead to bacterial growth or uneven thawing. Once thawed, whisk the eggs to ensure a uniform consistency before cooking, especially for yolks which tend to become lumpy when frozen.

AI Overview

I accidentally froze a dozen eggs. Are they still good? : r ...
Freezing eggs in their shells is not recommended. The water content in the egg expands as it freezes, causing the shell to crack and potentially break. This can lead to contamination and make the egg unsafe to eat. Additionally, the texture of the egg changes significantly after freezing, with the yolk becoming thick and syrupy.

Here's why freezing eggs in the shell is problematic:
  • Shell breakage:
The expansion of water during freezing puts pressure on the shell, causing it to crack.

  • Contamination:
Cracked shells create an entry point for bacteria, potentially spoiling the egg.

What date did she do her carport interview?

I'm wondering why she thought Ian had died and not Don. Clearly no one was updating her, but wouldn't it have been in the news?
That's always bothered me. I expected Dr Rogers to ask Erin about that on the stand----"Why did you think Don was still alive?" But I don't think she ever mentioned that, did she?

I remember that interview so vividly as I was observing her body language because I felt she was guilty. I remember thinking she mixed up their names,
It's hard to understand how she'd mix up their names. Don had been her father-in-law for many years. Surely she knew his name.
but scant details were published then and thought maybe she’d been kept updated by Simon/family and maybe she was in fact correct.
She was not, in fact CORRECT.
I also wondered whether it was her reaction, and her shock, which seemed void of any deep heartfelt response because she was stunned and mortified that she may be responsible.
If she already knew, at that time, that she was possibly responsible for the mushrooms, why did she continue to lie to everyone?

The carport interview was on August 7th. Don died August 5, and it was in the news that day.

That's pretty much why. The story said.

But I have no clue what it means that it was automatically downloaded, I've never heard of a device automatically downloading a pubmed link. The article is probably not explaining it well.

But that mushroom paper is interesting in more ways than one. It shows this photo as an example of DCs.

Compare that to the photo found on her computer.

Could it gave been on another family member’s device, during an other family log in or looked like an other family person searched before & after. Introducing it could have made it seem like another person in household searched? And that person maybe didn’t cover this in recorded interviews?

The thing is that I have doubts that she deliberately did what she's been convicted of.

The ABC announced last week that Toxic, “a layered and intricate series” exploring the events surrounding the beef wellington lunch, had been commissioned from producer Tony Ayres. Hachette will publish Recipe for Murder, a book by Duncan McNab, in October, with Allen & Unwin releasing The Mushroom Murders by Greg Haddrick shortly after.

The cast of characters covering the trial included nine authors, seven podcast producers, seven documentary crews and a television drama series, a spokesperson for the court told the media on Wednesday.

McNab & Haddrick are great authors IMO

Sincere question. Do you also think she had nothing to do with Simon's prior poisonings? It's just bad luck that so many people keep getting poisoned around her, after eating food she prepared? While she never gets sick from her food.

The victims were by all accounts such lovely people.

It's good to see the msm finally giving some precedence to remembering the victims and their lives.

Bit sad they still felt the need to drop in a pic of EP & spoil what otherwise it might have made a nice press cutting for the families.

In the article it is said that Patterson's mother's house is now a photo stop for tourists on a walking trail.

Intensive care doctor Stephen Warrillow details agonising efforts to save Erin Patterson's mushroom murder victims

"They were devastatingly unwell," Dr Warrillow told 7.30.

"Certainly the sickest patients in the whole state, but it is unusual to have four patients similarly afflicted, and they were critically ill with multiple organ failure."

All four presented to the hospital with severe symptoms and were treated by a team led by Dr Stephen Warrillow, who is Director of Intensive Care at Austin Health.

Toxins and transplants

Dr Warrillow said all four patients were then put on mechanical ventilators and dialysis-style machines to try and purify their blood.

"Liver transplantation is one of the most complex and lengthy surgical procedures that we would ever do," he said.

"The patient has to be sick enough to need one, but well enough to get through the surgery.

"It takes essentially an entire day and for the theatre team, this is really a marathon.

"It's quite a remarkable outcome for him that he was ultimately able to survive and could recover so well in the end."

Dr Warrillow told 7.30 that he and the treatment team had advised Ian Wilkinson's family it was likely he would die and credited his fortitude and the work of his nurses for his survival.

"Ultimately he stabilised and that took a lot of work from, particularly the bedside nurses, to provide extraordinary measures of support for his circulation, and to try and clear toxins from his blood," he said.

"They did a tremendous job with that."
