Which documents?

Child protection were there because the children needed to be removed from the house and only had supervised visitation with the child protection officers, due to her being a suspect in the murder of her relatives (before she was charged). Her friend Alison Rose Prior became POA prior to this date.

That this one "friend" was only an online acquaintance still has me completely floored!

She definitely tried to groom me, I think. I was the group admin/leader, and I think she wanted that control, but also, I was the person in the group focusing on the crime analysis, whereas a lot of the group was focusing on the social dynamics between members. (In particular, Erin - she was OBSESSED with doing profiles on everyone).

I think she ultimately wanted to control the group - which she eventually did. IMO
Oh I heard about this in Lisa’s podcast. I head that Erin became moderator of the large group. I didn’t realise you were mod before that.

So she’s knocked you off your post. IMO she doesn’t seem to have complex social skills - surely she wouldn’t have even been able to manage the interpersonal issues that come with being a large crime group moderator? Or am I wrong?

Moderating a large crime group is highly complex and there is no way I would be cut out for it (or would want to!!)

IMO

Shows EP is definitely not close to her sister, imo
She'd rather have someone she'd recently only met IRL to look after her affairs.

BBM - Anyone know why?
Would be really interesting to know why. Was it their occupations, or did they look too shrewd to Erin, as if they would not believe her lies? MOO

BBM - Anyone know why?

I guess because she could.

I figure that the 3 limit is in place to avoid the accused simply challenging the entire list. Once you have to give reasons then you need to have something substantial to say other than simply "Challenge".

That she had not one IRL person suggests to me that Erin really did live in her own world.

A tiny world of online connections.... peopled with puppets she could control and keep dancing to her own keyboard tappings.

Child protection officer there to witness the documents?
I misunderstood … I thought the party was getting POA and other documents in order before arrest … which might have needed “witness”

I wondered if it was occupations too.

I guess we will never know, as she didn’t have to give reasons.

Gender?

I imagine if one is used to fooling and gaslighting others one might build up a kind of sixth-sense of who is going to be an easy or easier prey for one's diabolical needs and intents.

MOO

Do we know what info she gets to know about them? Does she see photos of them? I imagine she'd be making decisions based on anything she took a dislike to. Age, gender, looks, occupation, eyes, smile, ability to sniff out a lying murderer....the choices are endless.

Was it the very first three? maybe she didnt know she only got three strikes and was intending to knock out the whole jury! 😉

She gets to watch them walk into the court room.

As to having no real-life friends, perhaps this shines a light on her terrible TV interview performance - she just hadn't any genuine life experiences to draw on.

Thank you. Is that it? No other info? Can they wear anything they choose? (no offensive clothing I'm sure?)

She would see the juror in person as he or she walks from the jury pool to the jury box. The selected juror's name and occupation would be announced and then Erin (and her defence team though they don't get to make the call) and the prosecution both get the opportunity to challenge/object to that juror on the way to the jury box. Once seated, they are in.
If I were a guilty defendant, I'd be challenging anyone who looked too smart or too eager to be on the jury. I'd want people who were disinterested or might be easily persuaded by my brilliant defence. 😉

A guy I used to work with years ago kept getting on the short list for jury duty. On the day of attendance he would have a 3-day growth, unkempt hair and wore a ratty looking T-shirt. He would constantly be cleaning his glasses and squinting.

He said the inevitable "challenge!" was always music to his ears. :p

Yes. I don't believe it was a party. Trying to get get her affairs in order, with Ali-Rose as POA, and Child Protection officer also attending.
IMO
That's exactly what it was - and she didn't know they were going to arrest her and serve a search

If Erin didn't know she was going to be arrested why was she getting her affairs in order with a POA and child protection officer?

My first thought was that her lawyers had told her she was going to be arrested, so she needed to get her affairs in order. With perhaps her lawyers having been advised by the police - with the police asking if the lawyers wanted to bring Erin in (as opposed to her being arrested in front of her children).

I can't tell if she was arrested at her home or not. Or if she had been able to have her children not present for the arrest.

Erin Patterson, 49, was arrested on Thursday morning and interviewed by police as investigators searched her home.
Police confirmed on Thursday evening she had been charged with three counts of murder and five of attempted murder.

IIRC, she was not living at home owing to the constant media attention. My guess is that she quietly surrendered herself to the police (likely with lawyer in tow) rather than have another media scrum around her.
