All men.
Time to set a new precedent.![]()
Women are nearly always given more lenient sentences, but I think because she attempted to kill Ian also, she might get it.

Oh crap. It's also Erin's birthday month.
Erin planned her poisonous lunch for 5 victims. She also tampered with evidence and lied. Three victims died, one miraculously survived and one refused her invite. How could she ever be set free?? The judge heard her words showing disregard for what she did. She scares me. IMOI truly hope so. I was reading today about those in VIC with Life Without Parole. Of course I don't want to compare the cases per se, however, I know that Jill Meagher's killer got life without parole. SURELY Erin's crimes are equivalent at minimum. IMO

That's exactly what Lori Vallow's judge said today in denying her appeal for a new trial. You don't get one simply because you disagree with the verdict. There are always technical grounds for an appeal, but the judge in this case seemed to be super cautious of everything that was going on in his court
He gave 365 pages of instructions to the jury
But regardless, you cannot appeal a verdict simply because you don’t agree with it.
The appeal can only go ahead if the judge considers there are enough grounds provided.
Hello @Marg944,If Erin’s birthday is during September, her star sign would be either Virgo or Libra.
I wonder if she tortured/killed animals as a child?Erin planned her poisonous lunch for 5 victims. She also tampered with evidence and lied. Just rambling on from my previous post, the big legal difference is that Stewart had never been charged with his wife's murder. I am not on such familiar terms with Nolles as you are! Do you know what the precedents are for allowing charges once dropped to be revived?A thought that the entering of a Nolle Prosequi by the DPP meant that those charges were dead and buried
But in certain rare circumstances, the Court may accept the reversal of a Nolle and allow to forward the charges to Trial

Maybe, the DPP chose to separate the additional charges she was charged with from the Murder charges for the murder trial
Those attempted murder charges would never have been allowed to run in the same trial - they are highly prejudicial to the murder charges IMOI thought it was the judge that ruled them to be separated, not the DPP.
