However, I fear, her sentencing may be lenient, as Judge Beale is noted for this: Ristevski's case recently.
I think there will be public outcry at a lenient sentence in this case.

This was mass murder. Three guilty verdicts for murder and a guilty verdict for attempted murder deserves the harshest of sentences.

May she rot in jail.

I'd want to hope she never gets out, but we parolled a serial killer who participated in killing four of the Snowtown victims this week, so... yeah.

MOO

I'm sure not all of it will come into play when sentencing, but not only was it mass murder, it was planned well in advance, it targeted elderly, upstanding citizens who appeared to be the most wonderful people with forgiveness and love in their hearts, and was done by a cold blooded murderer who never once showed any real compassion or emotion towards her "loved ones".

Imagine the stories and all the lying from childhood!
Yes, I was thinking how informative it would be to hear from her high school peers. I imagine she was an oddity back then: wanting to be popular but not really enjoying a whole lot of social contact. I’d say she learned a lot in those school years about exacting revenge on those she thought had wronged her.

At least Erin is significantly older than that parolled serial killer and therefore less likely to see a parole date, assuming the sentence will be a hefty one (which I think likely).

Fingers crossed 🤞

Now you've got me really intrigued... how did you know about the cookie incident? Did Erin slip up and say something suspicious at the time? Or later at the "Ask Me Anything" post-lunch Q&A? Are you able to tell us now what was said at that Q&A?
Sorry I didn’t phrase that correctly

I recall finding out in 2023 that she tried to poison him with cookies her and her daughter made him.

I do know about the Q+A but with how absolutely appallingly the media has represented myself and people close to me in the past few days I’m not posting anything else publicly they can use. They’re vultures.

She never had a friends group until her current friends group. She liked it that way. She didn’t care about being popular until this toxic new friends group.

Yes I noticed the quote about her Pad Thai, and honestly, from the photo, it didn't look all that appetizing.

... prior to being bulked-up with mushrooms?

No, she claimed that she would have "midnight" cravings for pad thai, so she would cook it. It was honestly disgusting looking, and the comment about being a mediocre cook were incredibly kind.

She most definitely did not possess culinary skills or any type of food culture. I was quite shocked to learn that she followed a recipe from Recipe Tin Eats (because of how beautiful her food is) - of course, we now know she didn't actually follow any part of it.

There was a 4th meal:-

The pre-trial hearing was told that Erin Patterson cooked Simon Patterson penne bolognese on September 19, 2021, before he was hospitalised in Leongatha with gastro-related symptoms.

She cooked him chicken curry during a trip to Howqua in May 2022, followed by a chicken curry wrap on a trip to Wilsons Promontory in September 2022. Both times, he ended up in hospital with severe bouts of illness, including one that placed him in a coma for 16 days before three parts of his bowel were removed during emergency surgery.

Prosecutors also told the court of a fourth meal, of beef and rice, in mid-2022 that Erin Patterson was never charged over. They claimed the meal prompted another trip to hospital for Simon.”

It's very interesting that she was looking up (at the least) poisons the whole time she was in the Keli Lane group. She was actively poisoning him (who else/what else!?) for years.

Definitely. She didn't start with Simon. Much earlier, imo.

I saw an article about how she was reading up about poisons in October 2019. Quite creepy, considering the timeline of chats I have with her during that time - where she seemed very happy in the group. Chilling! She was manipulating everyone.

I find it astounding that a group of women who claimed to be so sleuthy in true crime matters, that you couldn't see that true evil was under your noses.

Evil people don't have auras. Unless you are a witness or victim of their crime, there's no way to know who's a murderer or not.

Statistically speaking, there's every likelihood that you yourself have had close interaction with a killer. Perhaps at school or at work. Maybe even online. Could you tell who it was?

Yes, psychopaths are often deemed charming and charismatic - perhaps skilled communicators. The cowardly murderer in this case seems to be none of those.
