Replying to my own post.

Something must be missing in what we are seeing of the evidence/results because if Erin's leftover half bw tested positive surely Mr Mandy would have argued this when Ms Rogers was claiming Erin gave herself a bw with no dc's in it?
Given the samples were mixed together and there was liquid seepage and no one actually knows which was Erin’s or not (she isn’t saying either) I don’t think Mr Mandy would have got very far with this argument

And the famous fake vomit 🤮
(I’ll see myself out.)
Are you talking about the post lunch alleged bulimia?

I found it interesting when the tip cctv the day of the lunch came out at about the time she says she was binge eating and vomiting the cake. Utter lies, IMO.

Does anyone know if Erin is left-handed?
Pretty sure she’s right handed.

IMO we don't actually know how much Erin ate of her beef wellington. She could have eaten the whole thing, for all we know. We only have her own words about how much she ate.

Katrina Cripps told the court that Erin Patterson reported eating half of her serving of the beef Wellington lunch in the days afterwards.

Patterson denied eating all her beef Wellington lunch, insisting she ate only half of her meal.
Rogers puts to Patterson that the food found in the bin was a single, individual beef Wellington cut in half. Patterson disputes that.
Rogers: And how much did you eat?
Patterson: I think we’ve been over that.
Rogers: I’m asking you again.
Patterson: Somewhere between a third, a quarter or a half. I don’t know.”

I understand that. I'm questioning the test results on the left-overs, not how much she ate. There was a positive result for toxins in the leftovers. It would be enlightening to know factually if that was in both portions, one portion only and if so which portion.

And we also don’t know which BW leftovers tested positive because they were mingled together, despite new suggestions in this thread.

Dr Gerostamoulos testified that the leftovers were co-mingled. Not clean samples.

The court heard that leftovers were collected from two different places in Erin Patterson's home, but were put into one bag.
Dr Gerostamoulos said it was not an ideal way to receive the samples.

Thank you for the link.

In other words the test results on the left-overs prove nothing when it comes to dc's either being in EP's beef wellington or not. Only that dc toxins were found.

"Dr Gerostamoulos said it was not an ideal way to receive the samples."
If there is an appeal it will be interesting to see if this comes up.

Will EP get to present her own victim statement, perennial victim she believes herself to be?

Honest question. I assume she'll get to address the court at sentencing? I wonder how many days that'll take.

my head already hurts.

I am guessing you wouldn't have let her cook dinner for you?

Or was that before the murderous lunch gathering?

That was well before the murderous lunch gathering!

She wrote that to a family member of mine, but - I noticed in one of Simons poisoning attempts, they went walking on the beach, which was a bit creepy reading over this in hindsight.

She invited a few of us for dinner on a few occasions. One of my friends was in Melb for a work trip and she was very insistent that he visit her. Friend had a weird feeling and got out of it, but I'm not sure she would have tried to poison him because they were friends at the time, but who knows?!

This was at a time she was reading up on red kidney bean poisons!

You may be looking for a plate that is no longer there.

Erin's plate may have been destroyed, along with the 4 grey plates. While Erin's meal was not contaminated, the orangey/tan plate - or plate with colours on it - may not have been a usual plate in her household, so it had to go.

imo
Exactly! It went out the the dump (tip as you Aussies call it) in the first trip with the cardboard, IMO.

While there’s a lull in reporting I think we need more info to chew on - can’t wait for the sentencing coverage and in particular the victim impact statements. I want to know how the victims feel :( especially Simon.
That's going to happen within days, right? Figures that it's when I need to leave to travel...

It'd have to be only one one portion, given as Erin had no liver damage whatsoever. If she accidentally poisoned all 6 portions, the results would be different.

Yet she had zero liver damage, and there were non-poisoned portions as well. So explain that.

What are the odds that someone in the jail has given Erin access to a laptop?

This is the question i didn't have the courage to ask.

Perhaps she was using a non organic substance such as finely crushed glass over a long period.

I wonder if adding some unusual salt not meant for ingestion (like Himalayan salt) or even bath salt into his food could cause such an effect.

They said she left her job at Airservices Australia in November 2002 after concerns about her workplace behaviour.
Last week, The Australian reported that at one stage, a colleague had allegedly discovered her food had been tampered with, finding a blade from a pencil sharpener lodged in their banana.
RSBM
In her workplace?! Tampering with other people's food in high school might not be so bad, as the perpetrator might "grow out of it", but the workplace??!!! Almost unbelievable!!

Could it have been that she didn’t have those leftovers poisoned in the first place, but then staged that part after the meal?
I mean, could it be that she had poisoned the four portions for her guests from the start, but left bw 5 and 6 without until after the meal? It has been said she was very frugal and we know eye fillet is a more expensive cut. So, maybe didn’t want to waste more of the expensive meat than necessary. She had laced the meat of the 4 guests she was sure were coming with dc poison (maybe a dc solution applied to the individual pieces of meat with a syringe), but didn’t poison her own and also not the 6th bw after Simon pulled out. Then she ate her unpoisoned half portion during the lunch and fed the meat of the unpoisoned 6th bw to her kids the day after and put the rest of the bw in the bin When she came back from hospital after having been confronted that there is a suspected dc mushroom poisoning, she laced the meat in the half portion of her own leftover with a bit of dc poison to make it look like an accident and pretend her portion was just as poisoned as the bw of her guests. As she didn’t expect the poison to seep from the meat into the mushroom paste and the pastry, she thought there wasn’t a need to put any poison in the meat free leftover of bw 6 and left it as it was.

No, different symptoms for too much Himalayan salt. Look up the case of Lacey Spears. She od'd her son Garrett this way. Munchausen by Proxy syndrome. She was putting it into his feeding tube.

Devious, but you're probably giving her too much credit to have done that. She planned to poison Simon. She'd tried 5 other times.
