Australia Australia - Pheobe Bishop, 17, failed to board a flight from Queensland, Bundaberg, 15 May 2025 *Arrests* #3

Yes, thank you, that was my whole thought.... that if KJ had that tracker as stated, surely it wouldn't have taken her 3 weeks to pass the information to the police? Sorry if I'm not making myself too clear today! But it seems like something of a red herring anyway.
I agree! The media report was just that media it hasn’t been stated by police.

It has not been stated by police, but it was reported that the phone was switched off after the last call to the boyfriend made around 8:30am. That call could have been anywhere from the Gin Gin house to the airport.

Police referenced using "Phone Data" to find the remains in Goodnight scrub. I took that to mean phone tower triangulation of the housemates phones. There is no indication from the police that the remains were located using the life 360 app. If that were the case, one would think the police would had gone directly there instead of searching through the forest for three weeks.

Remember, news articles and the words of reporters are often times wrong. The misinformation in the reporting of this particular case has been terrible.
There's no indication from LE that they used phone data from the housemates either. Phone data is anything from tapping a phone call to geocaching, and it's never pinpoint accurate, either. Being mountainous bushland like it was, the phone signal may have cut in and out, and it may only have led them to a general area, and they had to physically search further.

There were a few on here questioning if the mother really had the 360 tracking app on BP's phone, and it seems that the mother did have it.

LE must have known their every move almost; it's mountainous terrain, so I would expect the phone signal to cut in and out.

I'll cue the video on point for people.

For those unfamiliar with Life 360 App

It will show your entire movements for the day
Eg: if in a car travelling at whatever speed.. and your exact driving route.
If you’re walking it will show walking.
Once a phone is turned off… it will show the last location the phone was on.
My entire family uses it…especially useful with young drivers as you get an alert for crash detection. If you are flying those in your circle get notified that you have landed.

Did I miss Pheobe's mother's input regarding her whereabouts right back at the beginning? I know the phone hasn't been found but where did the tracking device give its last location? Do we know? Sorry if I've missed a discussion.

It was @Eyespywithmylittleeye explaining about Life 360 App that Pheobes mum had

But Phoebe did have the app ?

It was what lead police to the location

@Aussieboy posted the video at the location - his post started the convo and the video shared showed that was how they found the location

If you follow the arrow beside sleuths name, you can find the posts people are replying to ( in case some didnt know ) - we were all replying to Aussieboys post.

Pheobe had the app and her mum could finally access it.

This is possibly WHY the police were looking in a certain area, but then realised it was another area similar to the first one, as they stated.

I used to believe strongly that she was killed at home, possibly even the night before, but the police have stated categorically that 3 people were seen in the car by the BMX place, ostensibly on their way to the airport, and I really doubt that even our diabolical pair could have got away with the macabre act of sitting a corpse upright in the back of their car in public, in broad daylight, when the neighbours were already on the alert. But I have absolutely no explanation of why they should have been there and then shortly afterwards, instead of being at the airport poor Pheobe was dead. There just doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why they turned round. Except that I still stand by what I said earlier - there has to be some connection with the fact that she was leaving. This was not just any random day.
Exactly this happened with Stephan sterns and Maddie Soto allegedly.

A random nine news video speculated that the life 360 app was used to find Pheobe

The police have definitely not stated that. I have gone through each police statement and press release video.
  • Phoebe's phone had been reportedly switched off after the call to the boyfriend.
  • Phoebe's phone was never recovered by police.
Do you really think that if this app showed police where to find Phoebe's remains, they would have wasted 3 weeks searching various unrelated areas of bushland?

Always be skeptical of news reports. They are frequently wrong.

Is it possible PB was wearing a Fitbit or similar device with the life 360 app, which was tracking her location without them realising?

Thanks mishy! I thought I’d heard it on a news report but then thought had I ??

No.
Life 360 cannot be installed on a FitBit, nor on any other smart watch.
It can be installed on a phone. Phoebe's phone was switched off and never located.

There’s been a lot of discussion about possible causes of death, and I just wanted to throw out a theory for consideration.

What if after the fight at the house ( a possibly injured) Phoebe was given something to calm her down—maybe drugs—before the planned flight, and it caused an accidental overdose or left her unconscious? They then realise they can’t drop her at the airport like that .Could it be that, in a panic, dumb and dumber made a terrible decision and took her to Good Night Scrub, where things escalated further?

Just speculation, of course—but the timeline and behaviours do raise a lot of questions.

Not sure if anyone really cares but I think that the second GNS search location is below (based on 7 News footage, circle is where the police van was and the arrow is pointing up the road they had blocked off) I could be wrong, I'm 95% sure, and just testing my geolocation skills:

Excellent work. I care! Like you I often try to locate areas referenced in current cases on google maps.
Like you say, it may not necessarily matter but it's one of those morbid curiosity things that keeps us ticking.

For other Sleuthers, essareem's Google Maps Reference where remains may have been located.
Also this is the House in Gin Gin
And this is the BMX track referenced in this case near the airport

if she had an Apple Watch or fit bit on a separate line it wouldn’t matter if her cell phone was on or off so maybe not life 360 but the watch it’s self

But she evidently didn't, or LE wouldn't have spent 3 weeks chasing their tails, looking for her. Something of that sort would have led them directly to her, not leaked out its information slowly.

Wow this is finally confirmed. But her mother said her phone had been turned off at the airport. How would they get further information from it? Unless TB and JW were dumb enough to turn it back on?

I’m more curious now as to motive.

Assuming all these are true (5am reports of screaming, TV damage in house, her being seen at the IGA arguing with him around 8am). So this argument has been going on some time… she’s seen alive minutes from the airport terminal. They were clearly still driving her there.

The escalation of whatever happened must have been huge for her to be murdered so close.
IMO maybe PB has said something disparaging about JW and he’s lost it, since TB was driving, he’s thrown hands at PB and told TB to ‘Pull over’ where he’s delivered an unintentional fatal blow. They’ve realised she’s not just unconscious and panic driven to the spot where they first laid her.

I’m still grappling with the fact the neighbours heard arguing and it could’ve all ended there with a police visit 😔

I'm just wondering...

IDK how long exactly TB was working with PB's mother.
But,
while growing up and visiting mother at her workplace
Pheobe could have treated TB as a dear family friend and then eventually seek help when having arguments at home.

I remember when I was a kid,
I viewed my Mum's female friends as "Aunties"
(although them giving me treats might have caused my positive bias towards them ;))

I'm just trying to understand why PB was living in this house with TB&JW.

We don't know how much she saved, except it was enough for at least a one way ticket, maybe return. You would assume she'd saved some for day to day living - she has to eat - and maybe pay for accommodation. A taxi would cost about $120-$150 and we don't know how prolific they are in that location, or how reliable. Why would you spend that much money when your housemates appeared to be willing to do it, I'm assuming for free or for petrol money? Whilst she appeared to hate living there, we don't know she was trying to escape from the situation. She had planned to visit her boyfriend, that is fact. Whether she planned to return to Qld, or to the house, we don't know and probably never will.

Maybe she was offering to pay them to drive her to the airport, instead of getting a taxi ?
Or she was going to get a taxi and they said no we'll drive you for less or something.
Maybe she didn't want them to drive her but they kind of gave her no choice, possibly demanding to also be paid for the 'favour'?
So hard to know.

What does this even mean?
View attachment 592698Were they given a description of the area where Pheobe could be found? Or a photograph? As unlikely as that soundsd, why would they be looking for a 'mirror location' visually? Am I missing something, again?
I felt like an absolute dipshit that I couldn't parse this statement at all, so thank you for agreeing that it's gobbledigook, lol. Felt like I was reading à Dr. Seuss riddle.

Thanks for the pictures.

OMG
This area is massive,
and I mean REALLY massive

I'm not sure the poor girl would have ever been found without a tip.

It really seems to be a "Good Night and Never See You Again" terrain.
