Australia Australia - Pheobe Bishop, 17, failed to board a flight from Queensland, Bundaberg, 15 May 2025 *Arrests* #3

It's interesting you say that, I believe the name came about because it was said that if your livestock go into that scrub, you can kiss them goodnight indefinitely 😂

Yep.
It was me who asked locals here about the name.
And they answered.
Hence my allusion.
I even dug up info about the Park and sent a post here.
But it is in thread#1.

Not sure if anyone really cares but I think that the second GNS search location is below (based on 7 News footage, circle is where the police van was and the arrow is pointing up the road they had blocked off) I could be wrong, I'm 95% sure, and just testing my geolocation skills:

To add to the above map, is a map of the Park itself. It was posted on here much earlier, but sharing it again.

<modsnip - quoted post was removed - refers to the announcement about searches>

The investigation ceased at the original GNSNP search location. It resumed at another location a day or two later. The lead detective explained that the new location was selected as it displayed identical features to the original location. This suggests that they were searching the area based of a possible description of the area instead of a geolocation.

I definitely Googled all the place names involved in this case in the beginning to find out the origin, because I love stuff like that! Most I assumed were aboriginal (like they are in my area) but Good Night Scrub was way too obviously anglo lol. Big Newfoundland vibes, I love it.

I agree, it suggests that they were looking for a junction or clearing etc. off a certain road within the NP perhaps.

What does this even mean?
View attachment 592698Were they given a description of the area where Pheobe could be found? Or a photograph? As unlikely as that soundsd, why would they be looking for a 'mirror location' visually? Am I missing something, again?

I read this as him saying that the second location shared features with the first, and referencing the theory that killers will usually dump bodies in similar locations that mirror one another.

They knew location 1 was a woodland track, so they were looking for a similar type of spot somewhere for location 2 — and not, eg, a beach or a river. Maybe?

I wonder where the suitcase is.
Maybe in water at the bottom of some dam/lake.
As for the phone
I'm pessimistic it will ever be found.
It can be anywhere.

in Samantha M's case, Police used dogs specialized in finding electronic devices.
But looking at this Park, one loses hope of ever finding it.

But who knows?
Maybe there will be tips?

Yes me too. I lived in Toowoomba as a young teen...about 300 km from Gin Gin. As for Newfoundland, so true, spent a week in Come by Chance.

Regarding the "mirror" thing, I read that as being another area very similar to the first they searched. The tracks, maybe the undergrowth vegetation that was stuck under the vehicle (remember that picture a while back?) I think LE had a description of where Pheobe was placed, through tips, through some kind of evidence etc.

How did they know location 1 was a woodland track? Where did they get a description from of the locations at the outset? Was it from soil samples from the car maybe? Or did TB give them info when she was arrested for the gun charges right at the beginning maybe?

A random nine news video speculated that the life 360 app was used to find Pheobe

The police have definitely not stated that. I have gone through each police statement and press release video.
  • Phoebe's phone had been reportedly switched off after the call to the boyfriend.
  • Phoebe's phone was never recovered by police.
Do you really think that if this app showed police where to find Phoebe's remains, they would have wasted 3 weeks searching various unrelated areas of bushland?

Always be skeptical of news reports. They are frequently wrong.

-
Yes correct the police have not stated that.

Yes always be skeptical of news reports.

Police wording ‘ recent telecommunications data and on ground mapping’

Channel 9 report ‘ could finally access it’ -

So technically it is possible for them to be the same thing. Or both be true.

And they may not be!

Time will tell as more is revealed.

Just because it’s taken 3 weeks to find PB does not immediately rule out the tracking isn’t true.

‘Could FINALLY’ access.

Yes, but I listened to his actual words after @Spectrix posted the presser link and commented.

Have a listen at the 11:00 min mark in the video. The DI actually says exactly what was quoted before.

The last time Phoebe was seen alive was "that morning prior to arriving at the airport... prior to arriving at the BMX track. She was captured on CCTV with the two accused."

I heard
"that morning prior to arriving at the airport... at the BMX track near the airport. She was captured on CCTV with the two accused."
Given that they never arrived at the airport, he may have just been correcting himself... but they must also have some evidence that they were at the BMX track?

Now that is a good question

I think they could have some CCTV from the intersection at the start of Airport Drive. I found this April 2021 image of a traffic cam (circled) at that intersection.

Perhaps they have CCTV footage of their vehicle entering Airport Drive and then exiting Airport Drive. And the time in between both images let's them estimate how far the vehicle would have travelled. Perhaps just to the BMX track, turn around, and come back?

But she evidently didn't, or LE wouldn't have spent 3 weeks chasing their tails, looking for her. Something of that sort would have led them directly to her, not leaked out its information slowly.
Not necessarily, prove that the telicommunication company PB or the housemates were using had full coverage out where they went.

Some time back, before JW locked his social media, there was a comment made that he had been seen by the parked car by a passer-by. The author of the comment advised that they had spoken to LE about what they had seen - perhaps it was random chance that someone passed them in the area but didn’t realise the significance at the time and take note if the exact location?

I saw a similar comment, and if what you're describing is the same comment, the location was here. The commenter mentioned a man acting suspiciously, with the boot of his car open.

Maybe she was offering to pay them to drive her to the airport, instead of getting a taxi ?
Or she was going to get a taxi and they said no we'll drive you for less or something.
Maybe she didn't want them to drive her but they kind of gave her no choice, possibly demanding to also be paid for the 'favour'?
So hard to know.
No taxis in Gin Gin
