Hard to know who to believe!

Friday 23rd
“On Friday night, police announced they had discovered an item of potential interest in the national park.

Detective Acting Inspector Thompson said at the time the police diving squad searched a creek.

'Police have subsequently been conducting some searches of the Good Night Scrub National Park in the hopes of finding some evidence in relation to her disappearance,' he said.

'There are no specific persons of interest, however, police are following up all avenues of enquiry.'

Police did not say if the item that was found was connected to Pheobe.”

Saturday 24th
“Yesterday, they were seen removing items from the bush.

Police have not confirmed what the brown evidence bags contained, or whether it was linked to Pheobe's disappearance.”

Sunday, 25th
“Police have been searching for Ms Bishop in bushland and waterways in the Good Night Scrub National Park.

The operation, which has involved members of the dive squad, has not yet located any items of interest according to the latest update from police.

On Saturday, items were seen being collected by forensic police in brown evidence bags.

It is not yet known if those items are connected to the case.”

Everything they are carrying away in those brown evidence bags are "items of potential interest".

Unless something has Pheobe's name on it (or a suspect's name on it) they likely won't know if the items are related to Pheobe or this potential crime until the items are tested for DNA or identified in some other way.

So probably both statements are kinda right.

imo

My 2 cents

The car will have DNA of Pheobe and household contacts in it, as a part of normal day to day life.

1. I suspect LE have CCTV or other proof Pheobe was in the grey Hyundai that morning

2. I suspect the grey Hyundai has signs of a struggle inside but no definitive signs of a murder. Hence why the car is central to LE investigations.

3. I suspect a mobile phone ping (of Pheobe or a POI) has led them to the Good Night Scrub Park

4. I suspect they need public help with dash cam footage to help LE unequivocally link the grey Hyundai with the ping in the Good Night Scrub park

I hope you are barking up the wrong tree / have taken the wrong round about exit…but fear you have not. Too much time has marched on for a young, and understandably upset kiddo to have run away and not realised it’s time to say I’m not missing, I’ve gone, by my own choice. That’s ok, too.

I really wish it was clear if she spoke to her boyfriend at 8:30am on the morning of the 15th on the phone. I keep reading conflicting reports.

For example…

“According to a family member, Ms Bishop never checked in for her flight. “She didn’t check in for her flight to visit her boyfriend who she spoke to on the phone at 8.30am,” they said, reported The Sun.”

😳

Considering the thick bush in GNS National Park, the vast area and lack of trails there,
I'm rather pessimistic about finding anybody there,
even with the help of K9 detectives 🐶
bless their faithful hearts.

I'm also following Samantha M. tragic case in Australia
and despite all efforts,
the poor woman has never been found.

I assume the boyfriend may have reported Pheobe as missing?

“The alarm was raised when Pheobe failed to show up in Western Australia.”

“Police issued a missing person's report about 6pm on Friday, May 16.”

“On Wednesday, six days after Pheobe went missing, police said they were treating her disappearance as "suspicious" and two crime scenes had been established.”

I think so as well.

And also,
I presume
the info of a phone call with his gf at 8.30 a.m. on the day of her vanishing,
came from him.

Like... allegedly:
(contacting her family)

"I talked to her by phone before boarding time,
but she never appeared at my place.
She's been silent since.
What's up???"

Has there been an image released of Pheobe walking along the road toward the airport? Do we know who reported seeing her there?

Gosh so many unknowns for us ‘sleuthers’. Obviously LE have so much more info and hopefully they’ll have a breakthrough soon (that they can publicly share!).

Could it be that PB
left at the road side after an alleged quarrel in the car and saddled with heavy luggage
with still a long way to the airport gate
stopped another car and asked to be taken there?

But, unfortunately, she was taken elsewhere?
Maybe robbed?

I wonder where she was during the phone call at 8.30. in the morning.
Was it Face time conversation?
What did the bf see/hear during the call?
What was her mood?

This is also why I was so curious if TB was a cousin or somehow related to Pheobe.

I remain confused by the mention of Pheobe not "living with immediate family", as to me that seems to indicate some sort of familial connection? And by extension, I would then question of TB was the one who originally shared some of this information not directly attributed to Pheobe's mom.

NOT trying to cause additional confusion, merely to explain why I wanted that relationship between Pheobe and TB clarified if anyone knew.

"Spoke to on the phone" certainly could have been on an app. I agree with many others who have offered it is more likely for a Gen Z to snapchat or similar. Having Gen Z offspring myself though, they will still make actual calls for something like a flight or being picked up. I could also see this being an actual, good old fashioned phone call. It would be very good to know if the boyfriend ever heard Pheobe's actual voice and/or saw her that morning vs simple text on a screen.

This really is a hard one to work out (unless you’re LE)
I have so many questions and suspicions.
One thing I am quite sure of is they have found something of PBs in GNS.
There’s too many resources going into searching for her there for it to be a diversion tactic. (This is still JMO) she could be there or her stuff could have just been dumped. But something is there.

I’m not 100% that PB is actually there (honestly this is just my opinion and I’m most likely wrong) but for the bush being so dense, it seems like a lot of hard work to “dispose” of someone that deep in the bush. You’d be gone for hours and if someone is deceased, they’d be heavy so getting far would be a mission. You’d have all the gear to bury someone and you’d most likely be covered in leaves and dirt and clothing would be filthy. Maybe this is why JW & TB have been excluded as suspects for now? (JMO guys)
Another avenue I considered was suicide. Possibly assisted. But not enough information for that unless anyone has any other info.
In QLD you usually have an insurance policy on your super. Could this be motivation?
So many questions needing answers! I think day by day we might get new information but I really hope she’s found alive and possibly just ran away.

Re point 2 it coukd in fact be the boot of interest

it obviously wasn’t planned extensively by whoever is responsible for PB disappearance because both flatmates knew PB’s BF was expecting her in WA. And you would think they would have text him to say I decided not to come I’ll call you tomorrow whatever.

So unless it was a panic and the phone was thrown out .
Otherwise another individual.
It’s all very odd. I hope they find something soon.
Poor PB.

I really have doubts about the alleged (by some) guilt of housemates.
What could be the motive?

Sure,
they seem like strange/dodgy individuals,
but were ready to take her in when PB allegedly argued with mother.

Mother & the family knew PB was living there, it was not a secret.

Besides,
they should have known they would be obvious suspects.

Hmmm....

I noticed Police try very hard not to accuse them,
(Is it deliberate action? 🤔 )

Quote:

"Bromley and Wood,
who are believed to be in a relationship,
have been co-operating with police.

Authorities have emphasised
that there is no suggestion either is involved in Bishop’s disappearance."

But, of course, anything is possible :(
