I know the danger of associating Bob's case with other missing seniors and leading people to think he just wandered off ( he did
not in the opinion of Police, who are investigating his death as a homicide), but...
If you want to see an example of what a family can do when they really fear a loved one has wandered off, confused, look at Hellen Cook's new fb page;
https://www.facebook.com/FindHellenCook?ref=nf
Overnight (mine anyhow) it has been stuffed with information and pictures, stressing how much Hellen is loved. A weekend of events and searches has already been arranged, family are appealing for help from everyone, everywhere, the tiniest details are being supplied that might help find her, right down to a joke Hellen may respond to if she doesn't recognise her name. Everyone is stressing her crucial role in the family, as a loving wife, mom and grandma - and an entire search team has been set up in Wisconsin and a pic of their office has been posted, with a request for more searchers to share their photos! That's just the half of it - I've lost count of the number of media articles the children and husband have generated in just a few days.
In the latest news article, her heartbroken husband has said he fears Hellen will be forgotten if he doesn't keep that picture out there. I don't think there is any chance of that, with Hellen's family on the case. But I really cannot help wondering what that family would make of Bob's case, and the 'search actions' taken by Bob's children, in the days following his disappearance.
I did a little comparison in my head, and the efforts of Bob's blood relations really come out unfavorably. Perhaps they just do things differently in Missouri, from California. In my opinion, there is only one family member of Bob's whose efforts can compare, and that's Fontelle's.
I'm sorry to say it, but it looks like Bob's children expended their strongest efforts on Bob's estate, at the expense of the search for Bob. If another missing anniversary is allowed to pass unmarked, it will add yet another glaring omission to the list. I'm still holding onto the faint hope they will arrange an event this year, but there isn't much time left now.....has anyone spotted any signs of activity out there?
