Public funded testing in Canada is free. There is also a fund parents can enact for specialty programs. Private testing is costly, but probably faster and might be covered by private medical insurance programs. Don't know if Jordan's Principle would apply, I think child has to live on reserve, but if it does, they might be able to enact it for speech therapy. Maybe mother goes back to reserve yearly for some time, then it might apply. Of course this is all circumspect in light that these kids might never return.
I wonder if LE lays charges against mother and father for endangerment, etc it will help extract a confession or reveal some evidence?

and there is this :
and this:
the first link is for testing, the 2nd link is funding/ supports if you have an autistic child.
2nd link: if you meet the requirements, you can apply for funding for things like:

She says they have "possible autism" in this interview. ( and then must have told reporters they are diagnosed?)
time stamp 2:11
Can you test for Possible autism? maybe they were in the progress of getting tested like that witness in the Karen Reed trial who was in progress of getting his degree. ;)

“Ms. Brooks-Murray, a member of Sipekne’katik First Nation, previously told reporters her children were both diagnosed with autism and struggled in school.”

“Possible autism” or “diagnosed autism”. There is not two different versions of the truth.

Where did you get that quote from? I'm happy to be corrected, if that is the case. However, if she has made both those statements, I find it slightly misleading. Your quote is much more concrete. I don't see how a diagnosis could find "possible autism".

I wouldn't be surprised if they are charged with neglect or endangerment at a minimum. This whole case is super weird and it seems LE is being tight lipped if they have any evidence of parent involvement

It’s from here. I was able to view it with reader.

She's back online now, and has changed her relationship status to single, changed her profile picture, and erased Daniel completely

Wow. Odd priority for the mother of missing children. IMO.

The only statement I’ve heard is from the Mom, they might have autism, it’s not extreme autism. To me, it doesn’t seem like they were diagnosed at all

Hopefully this clip is allowed

Sillybilly's statement on the last page might explain it.

Perhaps some sort of professional/educator suggested it likely, but was not a formal diagnosis. Hence both her statements, which are slightly at odds. JMO

Or not, who knows.

What are people thinking about this? I'm thinking she must blame him because I don't know why else she would say she's single and completely erase him at a time like this.

The whole thing absolutely stinks.
I wish the police had enough evidence to make arrests.
I hate to think the person or people responsible for the kids' disappearance could get away with it.

I have always thought the same but this throws me off. You'd think if it was a pact they'd stay together and stick to the script.

There is not a gap in the fence. They are building another fence. The unfinished fence has a gap, but the original fence is still intact. There are no holes, they would have both had to have climbed or been lifted over. Moo.

It is odd but social media can be a good comfort or even distraction in times of stress. She may not be able to focus on much other than baby and phone. A lot of younger people prefer to communicate through social media and get their news from social media. There is also the obvious social aspect of it- group chats, private groups/ pages, where she could be getting support from friends and family. Social media is also highly addictive. Extreme stress can exacerbate addictive behaviors. I can view a lot of stuff these parents have said and done in a negative way, but updating seemingly irrelevant stuff on social media is not surprising to me. Just something to consider.
