I've been watching Poilievre for quite a while now, and I think he declared his chosen stand too quickly, his constant nagging to Canadians about how 'broken ' they are, broken, broken, broken, and it's something Canadians now vehemently and adamantly disagree with, as a taken position. They see themselves as unbowed and unbroken, and unbreakable, and rightly so, P's reiteration of this has not progressed his cause, I reckon.. His former nods to Trumpishness might be a real problem at the voting booths, even in Quebec. The Liberal Party leader will be announced on Sunday. He or she will soon announce a federal election. That person (probably Carney) will run against Poilievre. It will be interesting to see the party leaders debate. Poilievre is a seasoned politician and an excellent, clever speaker who is running a Canada First campaign. Carney faltered during Liberal Party debates, especially the French language debate. He has no experience in politics.
Donald and Vance prefer Poilievre. Perhaps they think he can be easily manipulated, perhaps because they don't know the difference between a Conservative and a republican, and expect him to be just like them.
Canadians want a hard line with Donald, more of what Trudeau is doing.
My son in law is from Montreal, ( tears come to his eyes when I trot out my execrable Québécois ) talks to lots of folks during the day, ( he is a Montreal civil servant. ) and it has surprised him , the vitriol about being told they are broken.
Just as an aside, Greenland is an autonomous territory of Denmark.. The KIng of Denmark had enough brains to marry a lovely Australian girl, making the Crown Prince , and his sisters and brother , 1/2 Australian. It would be illadvised of the USA to muck around with our relatives... .. we would take deep offence.
