Donald has been looking back in history to the time when the border between Canada and the USA was established, and trying to find a reason to claim that the agreement should be torn up and thrown away. He does not want to renegotiate the border, he wants it eliminated. Donald, like Putin, wants to use force to steal land.
Russia is the largest country in the world followed by Canada. Next is China.
Russia, Canada, China. It's obvious what Donald wants - he want to be bigger and better than Russia and China. He's jealous of Canada's rank. It's that simple. He's like a cry baby who has a smaller bowl of ice cream so he has a tantrum, and then lashes out with force and steals all the ice cream. Then he will shout that he's the king of the castle. He wants to sit in a room and gloat over all the land and natural resource wealth that he has stolen from Canadians so he can feel like a big shot with Russia and China.

When I saw a picture of Bezos, with a scat-eating grin, in the Oval Office, I cancelled Amazon.

Amazon closed warehouses in Quebec as soon as employees formed a union. That's when Canadians should have boycotted Amazon, Prime and all related services. I cancelled my Amazon account and switched from Prime to Disney. Amazon is a big foreign company that profits from Canadians, but does not want Canadians to have employee rights and protections. I have no doubt that Amazon owners will benefit from tariffs on products exported to Canada.

Bezos has also significantly reduced the quality of the Washington Post, which he know owns. The comments section is changed to some unfathomable AI screen that is calculated to be non-sensible and conceal commont agreement or disagreement.
Trump really knew how to get to the top billionaire media enablers to help promote his ridiculous lies and childish taunts and behaviours.
What a great, and extremely disturbing interpretation of what is going on with Canada.

I think the dairy tariffs are stupid, it really wouldn't matter how much dairy they brought into Canada no one would buy it we know our standards , I should of told my daughter to snap a pic of the dairy shelves in superstore while the Beatrice milk shelves were over 1/2 empty the fair life shelves were full it's always like that not because of the tariffs and the fair life costed more then Canadian brands. The only American dairy product I've ever liked is Velveeta, but I only buy it when I want to make Mac n cheese lol .

We have enough dairy here for Canadians.
No one's ordering US dairy. It's just not something Canada has ever required/done. It's a smokescreen, but looks really good to his base "@250%" .... lol.

Yesterday, I heard on local news that every point drop in the NYSE was reflected with a point increase in the European stock markets. That was followed by claims that Donald is not making the USA rich, he's making the EU rich!
He's also triggering a large movement in Canada to develop infrastructure in ways unseen for more than 50 years. All of this is good for the Canadian economy and futures markets.
Bottom line, Donald is making the EU and Canada great and rich while self-isolating and punishing the USA with unnecessary 25% tax.

I wonder what's going to happen when Canada is able to find buyers for oil , lumber, potash and minerals in other countries to replace the orders to the USA and we no longer need to trade the large amounts to the USA. What will the US do for those products ,I know the mill my partner works at is getting more over seas orders .what happens when Doug cuts off the power. Maybe trump needs to think of the consequences to his actions. I think the effects of this will last a long long time. I think we need more talks with our government in Canada about our safety and our defense we need protection from our neighbour . We don't know Trump's end game yet. Jmvho

Is it really a good idea for the USA to pick a fight with Canada when Canada has the ability to cut off electricity to 1/4 of USA states, and to shut down oil export - which is needed to heat homes and power all forms of transportation throughout the country? Donald is expecting Canada to play nice during war, but the more Donald escalates, the closer he moves to causing 13 states being severely compromised.
People in those states should be making a lot more noise telling Donald to quit it and find something more useful to do with his time.

That's the funny part. Donald hasn't thought that far ahead. He thinks that waging war means he will own Canada and that's all there is to it.
The USA will have to beg the Middle East for oil, and in doing so will finance war and terror group expansion in the region. Alternatively, maybe Donald can make a deal with Russia and support a dictatorship.
True - these changes that Canada must make will be permanent. Canada currently supplies oil to the USA at a subsidized discounted rate - a friend rate. As soon as Canada has established new trade partners, the USA will have to pay full market price for Canadian oil. Trump is self-mutilating the USA, and his supporters are cheering him along presumably because it's fun to watch a bully in action.
