Most of us do not support what is going on in this country. The numbers from the election support that. It's just now normal to declare victory a mandate.

I am one of millions of Americans who condemn the repugnance, arrogance, greed and disregard of the current administration's policies and actions against the people of the US.

We will and are fighting back but it is hard under these circumstances.

Pat has generated a lot of drama for his actions. He has a way of being deliberately vague, like someone else we know, so that he can claim plausible deniability and shirk accountability.

At the WWE event he was part of he stated:
"It kind of sucks that it's in the terrible country of Canada that booed our national anthem to start this entire thing," McAfee shouted at the broadcast table.

Later, on a podcast he stated, "my reaction when someone boos the nation anthem is..." and then posed for a moment

One can easily interpret that pose to imply violence. And people did. Some people responded with violence by threatening his life.

Now Pat can increase his rhetoric because he is, afterall, a victim of violence (which he started).

We see this same tactic being used to demonize Zelenskyy for not wanting to agree to a crappy deal for Ukraine. So now he "doesn't want peace"

Unfortunately the 4 nation games got ugly with the booing and both Canada and USA anthems then the beaking off of players on both sides to the media . That led to a lot of backlash . Canadians are ticked at Gretzky and Bobby Orr , trump made it worse with Gretzky .I don't think Gretzky will ever get the respect he got from Canadians back. I would never of thought Canada and USA relations would ever get to this..I'm having a hard time with this because I don't like sounding anti America because I'm not , but anti trump and the tariffs and the 51st state comments , how do we respond with out looking anti American. Wonder who we get as prime minister today and how they will deal with trump. I really hope Freeland and Carney can work together to defeat Trump's drama with Canada. We need to be strong as a country and work together to defeat this. We need all 3 parties to work together on this threat. Not only that, he came out of the US bench, gave the US team a thumbs up while completely ignoring team Canada, didn't wear a jersey (which I could've looked past if the other nonsense hadn't happened) and then didn't even stick around to congratulate team Canada.

I've wondered that about Brady specifically. His brother is insulated down in Florida (and an outspoken Trump supporter), but I know that Brady has made a statement or two about being surprised and upset about Canadian's reaction. Anyways, last night the entire stadium was chanting his name at home and he seemed touched, so I imagine there's no love lost there.

I can say that a lot of the US population is also bewildered as to why there is only a weak response from the Democrats and why the Republicans are in a terrifying Third Reich-like goosestep with Trump and Musk in everything.

I am so confused about Israel and Gaza today. There was some progress, then Trump started making ridiculous noises in the middle of it and now it's all a disastrous mess. I do think Trump would have no problem building a series of waterfront exclusive properties and golf courses on the bones of the Palestinians. Horrible, horrible.

Please don't mistake lack of public protests for support. I know of not one person who supports what Trump is doing with regard to Canada. Not a single one.

I think the lack of protests is many-fold. There are so many horrible things going on that it's almost impossible to know what to protest or get enough people on board. That's done intentionally, IMO. When there are so many horrid cases out there, then people divide their outrage and it seems like there's no meaningful support for one cause.

Many in the federal government have lost their jobs thanks to this administration. Many not in federal government have been laid off due to the economy and inane threats against business. Many are much worse off now than they were even a few months ago and many others are living in limbo to see what happens next with student loans, research funding, education system, vaccines, and fully preventable disease outbreaks that are killing children. America is in real trouble and it's all thanks to this MAGAlomaniac and his asinine sidekick. People are exhausted from the turmoil of the 20s and all the "shock and awe" shenanigans of the last couple of months, and at the same time, on the edge of their seat for the next shoe to drop. It's hard to plan, organize, execute and wide-scale protests under those conditions.

From what I understand, the US might import some Canadian cream during ice cream season. Likewise, Canada might occasionally import cream from the US. I don't believe that fluid milk crosses the border from Canada into the US with the exception of emergency supplies of milk formula for babies.
