Of course. I would see Gov. on interview news shows. I really admired him and coming from KY with the super maga reds, I worried for him. Now look.
Yup. But he is a very strong level headed person. He will go on to do good things for all Americans.

Oh he understands. He actually grinned when asked about not using his weight to remove him from office after Jan 6 etc. He said while grinning something to the effect ... I don't have the power to determine the next president only the American people do. They have spoken...pause while grinning....and he's back.

This was on 60 minutes a couple of weeks or so ago. He was there to discuss his legacy.

This is his legacy.
Moo

Yes. At the time, Senator Mitch McConnell had the ability to shut down Trump after Jan 6 and prevent him from ever returning to office.

And he didn't do it.

I have no sympathy for this man, nor for his corrupt wife.

I have watched the head-spinning turmoil that Donald has intentionally unleashed - with the goal of keeping people off-balance and unable to process one drastic change before they are hit with another. At this time, it is possible to see the bigger picture, which is to silence freedom of speech, compromise privacy, strip social program rights and supports, isolate the USA from global cooperation regarding global concerns, and more or less turn the USA into a third world country governed by a gang of extremely rich elite with their own private military. It's quite likely that Donald and friends will use government funds as their own private piggy bank as long as possible.

Has Donald said exactly how tariffs will make people rich again, or is that some fuzzy leap of confidence. Canada has said exactly how tariff money will be used - primarily to assist those most harmed by tariffs. It is not a tax that the government can then use as they wish.

Donald will collect an extra 10% or 25% tax from people in the USA who need Canadian products (e.g.: electricity, oil, lumber). Where exactly does that money go? We heard about his External Revenue Service - how is that money spent? How does that reduce taxes for 340 million people?

From above: Has Donald said exactly how tariffs will make people rich again, or is that some fuzzy leap of confidence. Canada has said exactly how tariff money will be used - primarily to assist those most harmed by tariffs. It is not a tax that the government can then use as they wish.

Otto, he means it will make him rich, of course. Remember, he is only ever thinking about himself. Everything he says he is doing for America is what he means to do for himself. You can believe he will find a way to use it as he wishes.

not to be rude, is he not past his best buy date???...he does not look too good when he is in freeze mode

just a thought

I don't want him to tip over just yet. I want him alert enough to see and understand what he has done to our country. He had the opportunity to stop Trump but he chose not to, with a smirk.

So many times he actually fooled me. I thought oh he will do the right thing, he is old school, not matter how much pressure, NOPE.

Kentucky is vocal about their alcohol and Ontario, but every province across the country has stripped the shelves of USA alcohol. California wine, Budweiser, all replaced with international and national options. Trade barriers for alcohol across Canada have been removed, so Ontario and BC wine can be sold across the country at a good price.

That will remain in place until all tariffs are lifted. I suspect that Canada was one of the best customers for California wines simply because it's cheaper than EU imports.

To be safe, they should keep going until Trump is out of office. He's apt to turn them back on at any moment. His inconsistency is consistent.

I suspect they will stay off the shelves for a long while because there won't be much demand for it.

Oh yes by about 20 years but he was so sneaky about rules vs diplomacy the GOP supported him and stacking the court. RBG oh she died too close to the election for a Democrat to appoint a SC judge. Stuff like that.

He's gone at the end of his term. The MAGA disciples are lining up to run for his seat. I'm hoping an eastern Ky boy raised by yellow dog democrats runs for his seat. It is our only hope.

YES! It's downright unamerican. Party over country. That's Mitch.
Am I showing bias or am I tired of poor Kentuckians suffering under GOP leadership.

We’re gonna ensure that the Americans understand how pissed off we are, how unified we are, how committed we are to working as a country to stand up for each other,” he said.

Qin said it’s hard to separate Americans from Trump, at least for the next four years.

With climate change, I'm looking forward to more fine Canadian wines, not only from Ontario but also from the Okanagan.

Please take pity on me.

I'm only a Naturalized US Citizen forced at age 16 to renounce my UK citizenship ( Scottish)

I have distant relatives in Canada.

I do wish Ford would shut his mouth. He sounds almost as bad as Trump. We’re used to his odd behaviour here in Ontario and definitely in Toronto when he and his brother were causing havoc in Council and seeing him on American tv over and over again makes him look like the buffoon he is. He will take any opportunity to go on American tv yet won’t talk to local media.

How could he sound as bad as Trump? He’s opposed to Trump. I don’t live in Ontario, but I applaud his stand.
He’s appearing on US tv and it’s a good thing so the American public can here the Canadian side of the story instead of just trump trump trump 24-7. How else will they hear from any Canadians?
I don’t hold anything against DF for the sad saga of his late brother RF. The Fords would not be the first family to fight a losing battle with an addict in the family.

Trump is and always has been a low-class carny and carnival barker. .

Don't listen to his words, watch what he is really doing with his real actions. Not the "will I or won't I" political tease language.
This article has crossed my path, arguing that Trump is planning something more than just a trade war.

If ordered to attack Canada, what percentage of US armed forces do we think would actually obey that order?

Braid: Invading Canada would spark fight lasting decades, expert says.
Trump is delusional if he believes that 40 million Canadians will passively accept conquest without resistance.
Article content
“That decision would set in motion an unstoppable cycle of violence. Even if we imagine a scenario in which the Canadian government unconditionally surrenders, a fight would ensue on the streets.

What's with the consumer country of fentanyl insisting that other countries stop it at the border? The emperor has no clothes. Close your own door if you want to keep pests out.
