I caught this gem from the Washington Post

"Missing from today's reporting s that Trump took time to shill cars for Musk/Tesla and then informing us that violence against Tesla dealerships will be considered "domestic terrorism".

So, violently assaulting the Capitol and it's law enforcement = Free pass.

Assaulting Tesla - Terrorism.

A new role for the South Lawn of Trump’s White House: Tesla car lot

Critics said the spectacle stretched the bounds of what is ethical in the White House, with Trump openly seeking to boost the financial fortunes of Elon Musk.

There are almost 500,000 people who work for the major US car companies, those that will be really hit by the tariffs on steel and auto parts. I wonder how those people feel about the kissy-face antics of Trump and his baby Elon today on the White House.

But there you go. Shilling photo ops, while Ukrainians suffer and die more each day.

One surely must hope that reporters and investigative journalists in the White House press pool will question the administration on this. And maybe questions on this will be directed at others in authority including the president. MOO

Well.. it's getting down to crunchtime with the Potash..... anyone with a garden knows that you have to start digging it in around early spring, if you want prime crops. you cannot let time slip by.. Every farmer in the USA knows this, your canola man, your wheat, your soy, your market crops, your big money makers, alfalfa, right now, you have to have the money to buy it, or you get a loan from the bank and gamble on the weather.. but there is a rigid window of opportunity..

There are two places in the word to get potash from . Saskatchewan, and Belarus... Belarus produces much less than Canada, and that potash has to cover Russian crops, as well as quite a few contracts in middle Europe, Bulgaria, and once upon a time, Ukraine... It has to be shipped thru the Black Sea, and that's a bit dicey at the moment as everyone knows...

So USA farmers have about 10 days, at the very most to come to grips with their dilemma. Good Luck.

OK, but who's going to plant them?

Very little US dairy uses hormones anymore, and it in no way impacts the milk. It is a made up excuse for a tariff. Canada already imports more than it exports.
The tariff on dairy is 7.5%, so there's no reason to complain. Don't trust Canada, trust Wisonsin:

"Milk in the United States, unless marked otherwise, is treated with either rBST or rBGH, which are artificial hormones that stimulate milk production. The FDA says there is no difference in the milk produced by cows treated with the hormone, but countries like Canada and those in the European Union ban it."

"100% Canadian milk comes from rbST-free Canadian cows because the use, sale, and import of artificial growth hormones is prohibited in Canada."

Governors of NY, Michigan and Minnesota (all democrats) have said they can transition to other power supplies with little impact. Makes one wonder why they weren't doing so already.
The USA federal government has repeatedly stated that the USA needs nothing from Canada, so Canadians want to know why the USA federal government is making such a fuss about the price of Canadian electricity.

Is the USA federal government lying, or meddling?

Is the USA federal governement lying or meddling?

It's a trick question: They are doing both lying and meddling.

Not sure what or who I believe as far as power sourcing and the US ‘power grid’ system if some sources are cut or thwarted. And an ability to ‘adapt’ to an essential need. But IIUC sources of power within the United States seem limited and inter-connected. MOO

Hey Vern would the u60 Blackhawk we are seeing around White Rock /Surrey be border patrol ? Lots of people reporting seeing them coming from Chilliwack. We have only really been seeing them since yesterday?
I assume so, we've had them around the Southern Alberta border quite frequently the past month or so. Funny enough I used to live on the White Rock / Surrey border years ago and can't recall every seeing any then.

They're (rented) CBSA; nice paint job. This is our test drive to see if they're what we want.

Maybe it wasn't such a great idea to start a trade war? The Atlanta Fed recently revised their first quarter GDP estimate for the US economy from a fairly strong positive to a meaningful negative. And the stock markets reflect the same view.

So much for 'patriots' (small 'p' for obvious reasons!) and The Constitution.

No need to hand the White House keys to Putin and Xi. They already have them.

I watched this with complete disbelief.. do Americans truly believe that Tariffs are a tax CUT to Americans?? are there really people out there, ANYWHERE who believe this truly arithmetically illiterate position??? is that possible?? Can any one explain this to me??
no one understands who wants or benefits from these. I heard DJT on the radio tonight saying that Canada and Mexico have been treating the USA "very unfairly" .... news to me.

Trump warns Canada, Mexico tariffs are coming on Saturday

A 4 trillion dollar loss to the USofA as of yesterday:!! Bravo POTUS!!

Tell me that's having no impact on American's 401ks?? Or the paycheques that 99% of the population depend upon every week. Ouch!

No wonder they had to kill off 50% of the Department of Education today to save a few more ... but still no taxes for BILLIONAIRES to pay yet.

They're akin to lemmings heading over the cliff. "Follow Me!!"

Truely sad to watch their spiral, but this is who they voted for.
