I can't even with this fist argument. AA has fists, so he's dangerous. How much weight did TM have on AA?
just referenced that TM testified thinking "something is not right" with AA - trying to suggest the gateway mental health or drugs. Sheffield hopes the jury can read what he is laying down since he can't bring evidence of either topic in.

I don't know if the jurors view Sheffield like I do, but I think he is so arrogant it's hard to listen to him. I would have preferred Rubin to give the closing.
I know this is a closing "argument" but his tone in front of the jury just doesn't sit well with me. He's talking AT them, versus what LD did and had a conversation.
IMO when he (and Travis) go there it's a wink wink nod nod to the jury that something HAD to be wrong with AA because he didn't submit or obey their orders, then dared to fight for his life rather than risk getting shot in the back like a dog.
For all they knew at that moment he could’ve been hard of hearing. Give me a break, honestly
I can't wait until LD gets ahold of this for rebuttal. She will rip every last one of these half baked arguments to bits and I am HERE FOR IT!Fortunately the prosecution gets rebuttal-----
Well, that's the thing. Whether he's on drugs or has mental problems or can't hear, to me, that does explain his behavior for months. But it doesn't justify his murder.
According to the prosecutor -- isn't the law that you need to be there to see the crime --live or via live video -- to make a citizen's arrest? How can Sheffield argue probable cause when TM didn't actually see AA in the construction place that day??? I'm confused.
Huh?
Yes, but I thought the judge ruled that the right to make a citizen's arrest when the person is "fleeing" extinguishes basically immediately after the alleged crime. You can't wait days to catch someone "fleeing" -- I thought that was the judge's ruling on Friday. Did it change over the weekend?Yeah, that's why they picked burglary on Feb 11th. It's a felony. And he's trying to to catch him due to that, which says you can chase while "fleeing."
It's the defense set fear they will buy.
