According to his friend, Luigi was "making lawyer money" coding for TrueCar ... a telling statement because Mangione reportedly stopped working for them months before going to Thailand.

He told our source he had $6 million in the bank, all of it coming from his family. Talking about his family seemed to be a sore subject, according to the friend, so he didn't press Luigi on it.

A man toting 2 backpacks, eating at McDonalds, staying in hostels and road side motels has 6mm in the bank? He may have a healthy trust but I highly doubt he has access to 6mm. Maybe his trust was denied to him and he's angry because it's under control of trustees and he has no understanding of how it is structured.

Mangione’s family is paying for his NY attorney

They haven’t visited with him

DM talking heads still offering theories that he did not act alone. I figured it would be easy for him to find out conference details and attendees, but was it luck that he was right there in the proper place when Brian Thompson made his way over?

He had been there for awhile. After he was arrested, NYPD showed some video of the shooter across the road from the shooting, he kept looking down at the other hotel entrance so he was laying in wait.

This $6M could also be fiction.

The guy is more than a little ‘off’.

Except for when he dipped out to get water and a Kind bar. Would he have risked missing his chance cause he needed a snack?

He did mention in one of his social media posts that cell agriculture was a great opportunity to make money and recommended investing in it. I have wondered if he did so himself and made a hefty return on it. He may also gave done crypto oriented investing and made good sums. And on the family money, trusts often are set up to provide an immediate payout and then regular payments made over time as investment vehicles provide steady income. For instance, there could be regular payments made from rents on real estate investments or regular gains from.country clubs or nursing homes.

I imagine he is refusing to see them. That pattern began months ago.

It’s a rigmarole to get on visitor lists, takes awhile as well.

Someone posted it all last night.

Perhaps they’ll visit him in Rikers. Perhaps not.

Murderablia shouldn't be profitable.
No it should not. There was the article about the merch. So, I looked up the merch and noticed it was geared toward young people. (And in some cases very young people)

I don't know if you saw the survey. So, I think some of this merch is also influencing them. Even if they aren't buying the merch, they are likely seeing it on social media and that can also influence them. I saw the "St Luigi" meme on SM myself. MOO

They are also donating to his "defense fund"

Disclosing to people you barely know that you have 6M in your bank account sounds like a horrible decision lol

Accomplice???
“'It just seems like a team that was doing good surveillance and reporting to their client.'”

According to a CBS report, police sources say he immediately took a cab to the Hilton Midtown and spent 30 minutes walking the streets around it, leaving to check in at his Upper West Side hostel around 11pm.

“But the date and Hilton location for the UnitedHealthcare investor conference, where Thompson was set to speak, wasn't publicly announced until two days later on November 26.”

@Tiff23fr Thx for your post :) w link referencing LM’s $ in the bank."
TMZ reports that its source (who did not want to be identified by name) said:
He & LM spent SIGNIFICANT amt of time over a period of TWO DAYS in THAILAND.
Said they went to BARS and a WEED shop. Apparently fast friends.

Said LM said LM had “$6 million in the bank, all of it coming from his family.”
Was source’s memory re ^ distorted by ingesting substances or was LM telling big fat lies? Or was source interested in personal 15 mins of fame? I’m just wondering.

Said LM “might have mentioned owning a 3-D printer.”
Might have mentioned. Boy howdy, what a coinkydink.

What I cant seem to grasp is the bag of monopoly money that was found. Has anything else been said about this? It has to have some kind of significance for him to have purposely left it where it could be found.
I wonder whether he filed for loss of income due to back injury that, according to him, did not respond to 18 months of conservative treatment. If so, and he received a small settlement for a few months of job loss, would that be the monopoly money?

Accused CEO killer Luigi Mangione is expected to face federal charges in the coming days — on top of the first-degree New York state murder charge he was hit with Tuesday, according to law enforcement sources.

Sources told The Post federal prosecutors have secured an indictment from a grand jury against the 26-year-old, who allegedly gunned down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on a midtown Manhattan street on Dec. 4.

Goes along with that:

As of now, the Manhattan District Attorney's charges against Luigi Mangione would have priority, and any possible future federal charge or charges would be second in prosecution order. A decision regarding federal charges could come soon, sources told NBC New York.

How soon do you think we see another arrest? Clock is ticking, IMO..
