I'm not seeing female - perhaps he has slightly androgynous features, but the chin and nose look quite masculine. The shadows from the hood on his eyelashes and sides of face might make the photo appear more feminine, but I think that's more of a trick of the light.
I think it could be a trick of the light or the angle or the quality of the photo.
I think he looks like so many other people. I was watching CNN last night and thought one of the reporters resembled what I see in the photos, lol.

Holy cow I knew the backpack was a couple hundred but missed the jacket cost wow. I’m not sure what to make of that…seems unlikely there would be an anti-insurance or anti-greed/capitalism angle when just your backpack and jacket alone total a grand. But the again people are often strange hypocritical creatures

Might he have inherited $$ following the death of someone close - a death that he feels was avoidable but for UHC policies & practices. Maybe decided the best use for his inheritance is taking a life to spot- light the injustices rampant in the insurance realm?

On Nov. 24, the shooter arrived in NYC, as caught on surveillance camera.

So where did shooter spend Thanksgiving Day? Did a family miss spending the day with their son, brother, uncle on Thanksgiving Day?

Or from a country where Thanksgiving is not a holiday or a family celebration day.

Like Canada, UK, elsewhere.

They've had that backpack for nearly a day now. It's been X-rayed and opened, yet they've not disclosed anything yet. I would have thought they'd at least make mention of whether the gun was retrieved or not.
one poster mentioned that he may have stashed another backpack in the Park and exchanged them before it was found.
If they find "nothing" in the backpack, I think he may have fooled us again.....

but...
The bus the suspect is believed to have boarded out of the city.

Like everything so far, very ambiguous and skeptical.
Maybe he didn't even board a bus there. He could have just gone back downstairs at GWB terminal and taken the subway (A express) back down to the better-known PA terminal at 42nd (five or six stops) or go one more stop to Penn and get on Amtrak at Moynahan.

Some do some don't. You often pay through some third party site which takes several forms of payments and it will specify which hotels require a hold or card for incidentals. You don't even need to show ID or speak with anyone. There are also plenty of airbnb's that operate in a fully automated way. You don't need to stay in a hostel to obscure your id.
Interesting. We have never stayed at an AirBnB.

Yes, but it’s not over money is it?
In practice very rarely, but in some of these disputed cases the families have claimed that cost is behind some instances of doctors/hospitals wanting to end care.

Agreed. We're getting a poor quality photo of a small section of what appears to be a rather generic looking face.

I know. It is a hassle. I actually have had to go back to the doctor's office or hospital and tell them what "code" to use. Apparently, it's all in what "codes" are used for certain procedures.

I think it's worth noting the department of labor has been involved with them for denying claims without any true determination. https://www.fiercehealthcare.com/payers/unitedhealth-sued-us-labor-department-over-claims-denials
They are also part of this lawsuit where they agreed to pay for falsely denying claims.

I'm sure it's been stated before in other threads, but I'm not sure, I've only been a lurker today. But there are a lot of lawsuits.

Adams wouldn’t say if the NYPD has identified the CEO shooter, who was photographed smiling at a worker at an Upper West Side hostel where he stayed before the killing.

“We don’t want to release that now,” Adams said when asked if detectives knew the suspect’s name. “If you do you’re basically giving a tip to the person we are seeking and don’t want to give him an upper hand at all.

I have doubts he’s been ID’d.

i do not believe this is a KNOWN. I still find all reporting vague on this detail.
I would assume most all buses out of NYC make multiple stops along a line, then return back by the same stops.

Agreed. They obviously know now whether he spoke English with American accent of some sort or a foreign accent. I saw interview of another guy at hostel. He said he had 3-4 roommates. Someone heard him speak. Starbucks barista , front desk girl, the roommates. Taxi driver. Someone on first bus.

And why not release entire video from hostel surveillance to show mannerisms during the pulling down of mask to flirt.

Just odd not to release more of that video unless LE knows more than they are saying they do.

Moo
Kind of like LE never released more of BG on the bridge in Delphi. They have their reasons and it drives us batty!

Snipped for focus.

Assuming you're (the generic you) are a law-abiding citizen without TSA Pre-Check, where would your fingerprints be on file to match to?

I can't think of anyplace mine would be at all, much less a place accessible to law enforcement.
A pre employment screening before an official job offer is what I can only think of.

This assumes he was a US citizen. He could have very well used his real Russian or Eastern European passport or a fake one. Everyone is looking at this with a very US centric lens. Think global. There are many places in the world where it is possible to obtain a fake passport if needed. Not easy but doable.
I like the dual citizen theory better. They can sometimes have the best of both worlds, can effectively not show up on the radar in one of the countries if they haven't lived there. In fact, it could give an illusion of a charmed life, the international man of mystery effect, I can see it potentially reacting with a certain psychological makeup.

He could have entered on his US passport and left on the foreign one, taking advantage of the highly rudimentary exit check, which is done by TSA, not immigration.

It's worth keeping in mind that even in the UK, with our NHS, disputes arise between doctors/hospitals on the one hand and families/patients on the other, especially over issues of end of life care and matters of medical futility. Eg, the Charlie Gard and Alfie Evans cases.
the possible connection to denied health care payments and the obvious suffering that may result introduces a unique gravitas or solemnity to which few crimes can compare. clearly many of us and many around the world are following this both for its intrigue and its societal implications. that we can individually and collectively be commiting so much time to follow - for four days now - while we're not even involved suggests that someone directly impacted by any of the conceivable negative outcomes (that any imaginiation could envision) could easily have spent many months planning out a revenge, if indeed this is what's happened. (it seems to me quite likely.) i feel the more that time passes and he's not even identified, it points more and more to a personal, possibly life changing, event to which his own future may have been destroyed and he then has committed to retribution. (notwithstanding a possible moral alignment with the healthcare insuramce populace...) it's netfix material, i recognise, but my mind keeps returning to this opinion...

Your driver’s license (in CA at least), if you’re a teacher, or have security clearance, or have a concealed carry permit…

A few places.
But are all of those sources readily available for LE to search?

Just imagine, for example, how long it would take to check any fingerprints found at the scene to all of the drivers' licenses in California.

what if he dropped one part down a storm sewer and then tossed the other parts in similar places... maybe even in other cities if he was on a bus? could he have found places where he would not be on camera?
Exactly this, sure. Bus stop bathroom trash comes to mind? McDonald’s garbage can?

Literally anywhere wrapped in a napkin or inside a paper bag and the parts are gone for good

Hence the time lag. But yes, that’s why they collect them.
Computers are amazingly fast at categorizing and excluding
