The lower back XRay is of Spondylolisthesis (a slipped vertebra - quite common) with screws and probably spinal fusion.

Per presser: possibly made with a 3D printer.
Hm, I believe earlier on some people here found public 3d printing plans for the particular gun that had been mentioned by LE.

He comes from a very intelligent and successful family, and was trending that way himself. He’d probably have gone on to make a fortune in his field, and now he’ll spend the rest of his life in prison.

He seems to break the mold in a lot of ways (apparently not antisocial, no criminal record that we know about), seemingly well adjusted, very, very intelligent.

Seemingly a solid family background. No obvious signs of mental illness at this point.
He seemed to be fairly active on Twitter until about June and then nothing after that.

In the presser they mentioned they think that he produced the ghost gun on a 3D printer.

It still amazes that we have advanced with technology to a point where you can print a gun or a prosthetic or basically any object on a 3D printer. I am we didn't have cable or cell phones or remote controls or video games years old.
Did the police say this or did Adams say that?

Components or ghost guns can be 3d printed, but they can also be assembled from parts purchased online.

The McDonalds is already collecting some google reviews…I agree I hope this employee does not go on the news.
Hope they realize that leaving false reviews is a crime

Given his background he was probably used to getting what he wanted. I’ll bet UHC became an obsession based on whatever happened to his back - maybe some kind of claim denial he felt was unjust.
HIS back? Is that confirmed? I thought it was his brother who was injured. Also saw a pic of him with a person who looks very much like him...possibly a brother.

I apologize as I'm just catching up.

I'm not well up on 3D printed stuff but a working semi-auto pistol seems very sophisticated to be 3D printed. The moderator I could believe but unlikely the whole thing was.

But, as I said, not something I've really looked in to.

I'm leaning towards him working remotely, as NYPD said his last known address is in Hawaii.

Yeah his LinkedIn profile indicates Honolulu, HI, also, but sometimes people don’t keep their location in their profile updated. In this case I guess he did.

Among the lines in the two-page document found on Luigi Mangione are the following two quotes: "These parasites had it coming" and "I do apologize for any strife and trauma, but it had to be done," a police official who has seen the document tells @JohnMillerCNN

He probably did keep it updated because in app development (and tech world, in general) LinkedIn is a precious resource to be able to show your work and network some with people from the area.

Tidbits from John Miller on CNN:

Manifesto:

Opening: Had to be done, these parasites had it coming.

I don't want to cause any trauma but it had to be done. Talks about problems with health industry. Why most expensive healthcare but rated number 42 in life expectancy.

Masters in engineering.

I'm kinda thinking his fanbase might not like him now that they can get to know him. He is not "Every Man fighting for every man" like some thought he was. The Assassin Cheerleading Squad might be disbanded.

But, I have been wrong on this case already and could be wrong again.

We'll have to wait to hear more about the motive for this particular killing.

I wonder if he hacked his way into the NY meeting that BT attended to see details, or if it was all up for anyone with an internet connection to see. I will admit to having gone through different industry gatherings with itineraries and attendee lists to see who would not be in my office that week.

The guy is a loser and wasted his own privileged life and trashed any potential contributions he could have made in his field. His message about health-care coverage seems selfish at this point. And two other young men are suffering the violent loss of their father because of this pretty-boy killer.
