Wonder if he has a WS account?Note: Sitting in McDonald’s with the laptop open.

Yes @citizen_sleuth seems likely. And one would surmise maybe he had not yet had time to secure a passport in someone else’s name?MOO but I think he may have initially intended to flee the country but abandoned that plan for whatever reason (possibly spooked by the media coverage?). Especially since I read in an earlier post that he had a passport in his name on him when he was arrested.
I thought of Faraday bag. mooWhat is a "bag to block cellular data" ?
You can still get the food and go outside to eat though. Sitting down, opening his laptop, spending longer than he needed, how did that make any sense? He was a passenger on a bus that stopped at McDonald’s.
A Faraday bag. I’ve considered purchasing one to put all of our car keys in after a rash of thefts in my neighborhood. A friend bought one by accident (she thought it was just a cute small purse), and could not understand why she was not receiving phone calls and texts. What is a "bag to block cellular data" ?
I think he wanted to peruse the web. No mention of them confiscating a phone so he may not have gotten one and was traveling in the dark when he couldn't use his computer. He was probably killing time and reading about himself. Why did he even sit down? Get the food and go.
Watching the press conference now, he went to Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and other points in PA. I’m interested to hear where he was in or around Pittsburgh.do we know what he was doing in Altoona? Like did he disembark there? I’ve read the McD’s was a rest stop for the bus, but would he really have the time to go inside, get food, and set up his laptop?
I was referring to his answer to the cops who found the money on him in the McDonald's.Wealthy family.
We don't know that he has suffered due to health care costs though. Has it been said that claims of his were denied or that he didn't get the care he needed? If it has been posted, then I haven't seen it.If a person like him who seems more than upper middle class can suffer due to healthcare costs cant imagine how things can be for others.
What I don't understand is the sequence of events. The arresting officers said that they found the suspect in the back part of the building sitting there with a face mask looking at his laptop.Nah, it was 9am...egg McMuffin and a hashbrown. Those hashbrowns are delicious.
I don’t know, but would it look weird if you had been riding on a bus for hours to get your food to go?You can still get the food and go outside to eat though. Sitting down, opening his laptop, spending longer than he needed, how did that make any sense?
According to this CNN article “Mangione said to the first claim that he did not know where the money he had on him came from, saying maybe it was planted.”Yes. Finds $8000 cash on him...where did that come from???
Maybe he was tired of running. Didn’t want to live the rest of his life on the run? Although he would surely have the means to do it comfortably! With a passport and all that cash, I'm really surprised he didn't flee the country. At the very least though, he was keeping his options open.
He could have sat outside to eat it, that would make more sense.I don’t know, but would it look weird if you had been riding on a bus for hours to get your food to go?

Pretty sure they can prove it in a court of law!!So at this time, they can’t prove he did it…. But they can’t have him leaving the country or anything so they have to slap him with the other charges.
