He comes from a very intelligent and successful family, and was trending that way himself. He’d probably have gone on to make a fortune in his field, and now he’ll spend the rest of his life in prison.

He seems to break the mold in a lot of ways (apparently not antisocial, no criminal record that we know about), seemingly well adjusted, very, very intelligent.

Seemingly a solid family background. No obvious signs of mental illness at this point.

MassGuy: "This was my prediction a couple days ago:

So I think he's mid 20's, Middle eastern or Mediterranean heritage, lives somewhere on the east coast (Atlanta or points north).

Grudge with this specific company. Imagines himself as some sort of movie antihero assassin (silenced weapon, Monopoly money, rounds with words written on them). Into fashion. Meticulous with his appearance. Disciplined. Intelligent.

I don't think his beef was with this particular victim, rather, I think it's with what he symbolized. I say that because if he did have it out for this guy, he'd just hit him in his home state. It would be much easier, and much less risky.

This is an ego thing for him, which is why he chose committing this crime in that place, and in that way. He wanted it to be caught on camera. It's practical as well, as what better way to get his message across?

I think he's graduated college, perhaps currently in some postgrad program. He has access to money, as his clothing, backpack, and the trip itself were quite expensive."

Reference back to @MassGuy . Unbelievable profiling on this guy. Hope you will accept my apologies in advance. I'm sorry for doubting you! ;)

JMO.

I am not sure why the surprise. I predict he was very polite and cooperative, and will cooperate with police. I wonder who will take his case and if he will plead guilty. I wonder if he will plead guilty off the bat. IMO he may.

IMO, I think it will be found he obtained the weapon set-up due to research regarding criteria he wanted, and then trained or researched how to best use that weapon. Same with the planning, routes, and transportation choices. Whether he had further plans, or what he was doing hanging around Altoona PA, I don't see any information available that points either way on that.

Someone in the last thread brought up his private high school and why would he be worried about health care costs - why shouldn't he see what a great deal of America has to go through?

He's not only a coward, but actually an idiot. Too intelligent to relate? What a waste of your life. What happened... moo

Here's X page:

@PepMangione

Part 1/3 I used to get bummed in math class when learning theorems: "All the low-hanging fruit has been solved before I was born! If I was alive at the time of Pythagoras I could've easily derived the Pythagorean theorem and etched my place in history!"

Part 2/3 But now I feel lucky for my 21st century education. I get to simply download the knowledge of all who came before me, allowing me to stand on their shoulders and ponder new problems they never would've had access to.

Part 3/3 If 5th century BC Pythagoras discovered algebraic theorems, If 19th century Darwin discovered the evolution of species,Then what topics does the 21st century mind explore? I'd say evolutionary psychology, primitive neuroscience, and information networks

If I was on the jury I would actually hear him out.

I have always known that NYPD didn't have a name. "We're not going to release that at this time..." was a bluff. Any current or former LEO spotted that.

Have they said what the gun was yet?
Ghost gun, per the presser that's happening rn. Could someone verify if they said something about 3D printing? I think I heard something in that regard, but I'm splitting my attention with this thread.
