I will have some sympathy if he does have pain issues with his back. After back surgery my life has never been the same and sometimes I think I may actually go insane from the constant pain. It's not that I would excuse what he did, just would sympathize with how pain can change the direction of one's life. In my experience, my insurance will not cover any treatments such as injections, physical therapy.

So sorry about the pain. That's a shame. Insurance companies often really fall down in the area of chronic pain, in my book, especially in relation to physical therapy.

I've just seen loads of meme's and cheering for BT's death on TikTok, FB and Reddit.

On FB, UHC FB page even had to disable commenting and disable how you can see the number of laugh reacts on the announcement of BT's death.

That's horrible! Do they have no feelings for his family, his children? People are so cruel when they are behind a screen. IMO

The police did not directly catch him, but it was their ceaseless work in tracking down the pictures of him that allowed the McDonald’s employee to recognize him.

I said this threads ago and maintain my stance—-there are nine million people living here, with countless tourists coming and going, as well as those who aren’t residents but come here to work.

The NYPD was able to single out the one thread out of 9,000,000 of us here and found the pictures of him.

I’ve lived in NYC all my life and wouldn’t be able to even identify most of the neighbors in my high-rise.

The flavor of the overall crime, IMO, had a mixture of extensive planning with many small slip-ups. We like to think that those who plan a murder will do with extreme precision and attention to detail, but I've heard FBI profilers say that rarely does the plan go exactly as intended.

And if its the first time someone has committed murder, their emotions after the murder can be completely unpredictable, in ways they never anticipated. He might have thought he would feel elation afterwards, but being on the run for days, while the entire media and internet is talking about him, constantly looking over his shoulder, probably didn't feel awesome.

To get away with something this high profile in Midtown Manhattan during this time of year...you'd have to be 100% perfect in all aspects.

NY (and NYC specifically) does not take kindly to any threat to their tourism and business $$

Yes. They finally found that photo of him with his mask off, and that nailed him. Without that, it would have naturally taken much longer to find him. Genealogy may have been the only way.

I can understand that. Seeing those first video stills and thinking, that looks a little like Luigi and dismissing the thought because that's out of character for him, he's in Hawaii, whatever. Tons of people on this board weren't sure if all the stills and photos were even of the same person, or what gender the person was. His hair and hairline really give it away. Maybe at some point his family members tried to contact him and failed, and perhaps they went to police at that point.

Yes, I completely agree. The politics are kind of weird to explain. Part of my twitter (X) accounts that I follow, some of my algo, aligns with a collection of accounts on twitter called “tpot.” It is entirely boring and I don’t encourage anyone reading to go down the rabbit hole to protect their sanity, but if you are curious and search this on twitter right now you’ll see the chatter about LM. He essentially was somewhat engaged with this collective. It’s not an organized group in anyway, just accounts that talk about certain topics I suppose. Common topics are IQ levels, politics, technology, and psychedelics (yes I said it’s boring! Save yourself) It tends to be more on the right side politically in the vein of Peter Thiel or Sam Altman. I’m sure he picked it up in school. Theres definitely an element of otherness, like this collective consciousness is more elite, etc.

He does 100% have tpot and e/acc vibes!
