That photo just isn't clear enough to make out much. The shooters "grip" is confusing to me.
Agreed on the grip, it is very strange for someone who is familiar with using a handgun but, it could just be a trick of the camera????

To obtain a legal suppressor, you have to pass an ATF background check (submit fingerprints and photo) which can take 8-10 months.

Another thing that makes me think this person may not be very familiar with firearms is the fact they used the suppressor. Anyone familiar with suppressors knows they do not silence the gun as shown it television and movies. I've fired firearms with a suppressor and, the first time I did, I was shocked at how loud it still was.

That is one huge backpack--likely a change of clothes in there. The witnesses who saw him from behind believed it was the back of a beige jacket instead of a backpack. The bike certainly makes him look local and the grip he has on the gun makes him look inexperienced. I'd go with mentally ill grudge-holder of some kind. Could even be random and he just hit a famous-ish person. But I doubt that's the case.

It looks to me that he’s all in black.

Just goes to show how eyewitness testimony can be unreliable. Some said he was wearing a cream jacket. Others said he was all in black.

The backpack could be construed as cream coloured.

MOO

And a $200 tax stamp. Correct not silent but not as loud without.

This is my CEO and I’m devastated today by this … he was THEE COOLEST most caring, nicest man you could imagine
Oh, I'm so sorry this is hitting close to home. That hurts.

In advance, I appreciate any insights you might have to share but also understand if you have to just sit back. I get it.

I'm listening to local WNYC radio news segment:

Justice department has taken recent action against the company (seems like anti-trust issue?)

Unusual crime for that neighborhood, and for a high-profile person.

Press conference scheduled for 11:30, which might suggest NYPD has information to share.

No link - it was live on radio. But, note the presser is upcoming.
