He doesn’t strike me as the escape type, he would need to cooperate with people. That means he would need friends.
Many reports are saying peers were contacted to come forward and testify that his life should be saved- and they opted out. They chose not to testify on his behalf. Wow!
How is going to mastermind a break out of prison if he can’t build relationships with people?
....RSBM
Ted Bundy had no one to help him, he just took advantage of a situation that presented itself, both times. People who don't have relationships with other people find ways to make things (for good or ill) happen all by themselves (like killing 4 people in less than 10 minutes). You don't need to rely on anyone if you do it that way, IMO.

So I was just wondering about the security of wherever BK ends up.

News Nation will be good tonight , lots to report on..Brian Entin will be in Idaho by tomorrow if he's not there already..Ashleigh says she thought this might happen but was shocked it happened so late in the game.

Adding Brian is there..he just came on NN

I feel sympathy towards Steve Goncalves, but I think the media is cynically egging him on in their need for drama and controversy. Steve has come around before and I think he’ll come around again (he criticized LE before; now he just criticizes the prosecution).

Anyway, I wish people would give Goncalves grace and let him blow off steam right now, without further inflaming his passions.

He has faith and a loving family, and I hope all of them eventually come to understand and accept why the Prosecution offered the plea deal to Bryan Kohberger.

IMO
Exactly. That’s why I said I wish he would stop talking to the media. His feelings are 100% valid, but I think the media will take advantage of his processing this development in the news cycle. Moo

This is kind of a random question. What prison would he end up in? (I'd like to know the escape percentage there). If BK could pull a Ted Bundy, it would be all kinds of bad.
Unless he is incarcerated out of state, and I do not know why he would be, I would guess he will end up here, in Idaho Maximum Security Institution, in Kuna, about 19 miles from Boise. Built in 1989, it looks, at least from the outside, like far better facilities than many prisons. My state's maximum security men's prison was opened in 1884.

Idaho Maximum Security Institution (IMSI)

IMSI opened in November 1989 to confine Idaho's most disruptive male residents. It has a capacity of 549 residents and is located within a double perimeter fence reinforced with razor wire and an electronic detection system. The population is primarily comprised of close custody and administrative segregation residents. IMSI also operates the state Secure Mental Health Facility, which houses residents under the sentence of death, and residents who are Idaho Security Medical Program (ISMP)

Brian Entin on NewsNation said he has seen some of the paperwork, and there was nothing saying BK needed to confess to descriptions of what happened for his plea deal…. but the judge could ask him some specific questions during this plea hearing trying to get some information. I have been impressed with Judge Hippler and wouldn’t be surprised if he did this.

Not deleterious, but earnestly reconsidered 🧐, to the consequence of autodeletion.

Re: how BK will adjust in prison.

The ‘only’ little bit of street cred he has was that he was once a heroin addict. So unless he reverts to being a little rough around the edges and uses his size and strength to his advantage, then he is still just a clean cut awkward white boy who will get chewed up and spit out. Moo

Wrong!
The proffered plea has yet to be accepted.
Ergo, to what degree should the good doctor hold herself in readiness.
Bearing in mind that the absolute WORST air travel nowadays is UNNECESSARY air travel, exceeded only perhaps if you got a budget booking which may only qualify for a space-A reservation remuneration.

he's also very sexually immature and full of hate.. he is a dangerous killer who obviously fixates...I think his problems will internalize over the years and he will find new obsessions and machvalian plots and plans that will torment him.

I feel like people think , oh he's confessing, he's a dork..we'll just lock him up with some books and he'll be a good boy..how much you wanna bet he won't. remember he did all this for no reason.
he's a pyschotic murderer and no one is safe around him..all that good boy stuff is just an act.

I am so interested to hear Dr Ramsland tonight. mOO

Exactly! But what will happen in the future in states without the death penalty? Chris Watts confessed to avoid the death penalty, and BK appears to be pleading guilty for the same reason.

Without the death penalty, what will prevent another man who is young and attractive (to at least a slice of the population) from committing a heinous act in the future, then count on a large SM following to heighten his chance of getting away with it at trial? Why would such a man ever plead guilty, regardless of the evidence against him or the pleas of his family to confess to save his "soul"?

IMO
A lifetime in the slammer is attractive?

Typically, if you are sentenced to Death, you are confined to your cell 23hrs (or so) , per day, given an hour alone in the “yard”, eat your meals in your cell, housed in a separate cell area, away from general population.
With Death off the table, he will possibly/probably be able to join the other inmates on the outdoor area to play basketball, socialize, eat in the cafeteria, etc etc., have a prison job, etc.
Not being sentenced to Death, Kohlberger will probably be able to join these types of activities, if he wishes. And live a more leisurely life in prison. Some sociopaths thrive in this structured setting.
Can we write them some hate mail?

look as far as I'm concerned, Kohberger was bored and couldn't get la$@. He wanted to feel the thrill of the kill and so he decided to act on his big fantasy and kill the objects of all his resentments.

he'll say he drove around and finally he acted on his urges.

everyone will feel like he let the air out of all the tires. he's no great mastermind, just a run of the mill idiot.

mOO
I get the impression he was trying to outdo Bundy

To prepare for tomorrow, I've been re-watching the recent Dateline episode. I'd forgotten about the [lengthy?] phone calls BK made to his family that morning, hours after the murders.

I must have missed the speculation on here at the time the episode was released. I wonder what was discussed? If it was normal for him to make calls to the family around that time and/or day.

Okay, the burglary part refers to the ID from one of the victims found hidden in a latex glove in the glove box??? Early on, many speculated about the inclusion of ID'S in the list of evidence, but I don't recall it as being confirmed that there was an ID connected to the victims. A trophy? Whose ID? The NY Post is reporting it, which surprises me as the plea deal is not yet a done deal. Apologies if this was discussed and I missed it.
Edited to refine the ID as connected to the victims.

That's what we were asking. Were these calls unusual? If not, was there anything about this call that was unusual (happier, excited, worried, etc).

I'm sure there's an answer somewhere in discovery.
