Ted Bundy had no one to help him, he just took advantage of a situation that presented itself, both times. People who don't have relationships with other people find ways to make things (for good or ill) happen all by themselves (like killing 4 people in less than 10 minutes). You don't need to rely on anyone if you do it that way, IMO.He doesn’t strike me as the escape type, he would need to cooperate with people. That means he would need friends.
Many reports are saying peers were contacted to come forward and testify that his life should be saved- and they opted out. They chose not to testify on his behalf. Wow!
How is going to mastermind a break out of prison if he can’t build relationships with people?
....RSBM
Exactly. That’s why I said I wish he would stop talking to the media. His feelings are 100% valid, but I think the media will take advantage of his processing this development in the news cycle. MooI feel sympathy towards Steve Goncalves, but I think the media is cynically egging him on in their need for drama and controversy. Steve has come around before and I think he’ll come around again (he criticized LE before; now he just criticizes the prosecution).
Anyway, I wish people would give Goncalves grace and let him blow off steam right now, without further inflaming his passions.
He has faith and a loving family, and I hope all of them eventually come to understand and accept why the Prosecution offered the plea deal to Bryan Kohberger.
IMO
Unless he is incarcerated out of state, and I do not know why he would be, I would guess he will end up here, in Idaho Maximum Security Institution, in Kuna, about 19 miles from Boise. Built in 1989, it looks, at least from the outside, like far better facilities than many prisons. My state's maximum security men's prison was opened in 1884.This is kind of a random question. What prison would he end up in? (I'd like to know the escape percentage there). If BK could pull a Ted Bundy, it would be all kinds of bad.
Wrong!
Has she been released as a witness? I think this conversation may be premature. JMO
A lifetime in the slammer is attractive?Exactly! But what will happen in the future in states without the death penalty? Chris Watts confessed to avoid the death penalty, and BK appears to be pleading guilty for the same reason.
Without the death penalty, what will prevent another man who is young and attractive (to at least a slice of the population) from committing a heinous act in the future, then count on a large SM following to heighten his chance of getting away with it at trial? Why would such a man ever plead guilty, regardless of the evidence against him or the pleas of his family to confess to save his "soul"?
IMO
Can we write them some hate mail?Typically, if you are sentenced to Death, you are confined to your cell 23hrs (or so) , per day, given an hour alone in the “yard”, eat your meals in your cell, housed in a separate cell area, away from general population.
With Death off the table, he will possibly/probably be able to join the other inmates on the outdoor area to play basketball, socialize, eat in the cafeteria, etc etc., have a prison job, etc.
Not being sentenced to Death, Kohlberger will probably be able to join these types of activities, if he wishes. And live a more leisurely life in prison. Some sociopaths thrive in this structured setting.
I get the impression he was trying to outdo Bundylook as far as I'm concerned, Kohberger was bored and couldn't get la$@. He wanted to feel the thrill of the kill and so he decided to act on his big fantasy and kill the objects of all his resentments.
he'll say he drove around and finally he acted on his urges.
everyone will feel like he let the air out of all the tires. he's no great mastermind, just a run of the mill idiot.

To prepare for tomorrow, I've been re-watching the recent Dateline episode. I'd forgotten about the [lengthy?] phone calls BK made to his family that morning, hours after the murders.
I assume both his parents…but both sisters?
That's what we were asking. Were these calls unusual? If not, was there anything about this call that was unusual (happier, excited, worried, etc).To prepare for tomorrow, I've been re-watching the recent Dateline episode. I must have missed the speculation on here at the time the episode was released. I wonder what was discussed? If it was normal for him to make calls to the family around that time and/or day.
