Legal issues aside. Bryan Kohberger has a lot in common with Elliot Rodger, Adam Lanza, Nikolas Cruz, Stephen Paddock, Salvador Ramos, Devin Kelley, Omar Mateen, Eric Harris, Anders Breivik, Osama bin Laden, Jodi Arias, Gertrude Baniszewski, Yoselyn Ortega, Lori Drew, and Betty Broderick. They are very repressed and resentful people. They are at heart injustice collectors/grievance collector. They are known for being constant complainers. Their resentment builds up over time and somethings sets them off.

well thats good news, having lightly followed this thread I am not surprised tbh. It all seemed so clear cut and I even mentioned AT seemed to be handling a already lost cause. A few questions though, was there anything recent that tipped the teetering tower? surely not the dd witness unless she did indeed see him and was willing to testify but i havent read that, also wondering what it means for the sentencing? if he pleads guilty i find it difficult to believe he will get a reduced sentence of life without parole for simply stating the obvious at this point?

props to the families and friends, may justice and what little it can do for you be done.

I have a feeling that his mother begged him to take the plea deal.
Bbm.
Snipped for focus.
Possible.

I haven't though much about how this has impacted his family.
At least they get to see him, and hear his voice, send and receive letters.

What I find weird is why is Bryan Kohberger taking a plea deal. It is like he was fighting tooth and nail and suddenly decides to surrender. Wonder why he decided to take the plea deal.

Imo-- he was fine with ending other's lives but too cowardly to face death himself ?
This crime has a better chance than some have had -- of ending up in execution.
Omo.

Bryan Kohberger is a coward. Once a coward, always a coward.

He also didn't count on the Door Dash delivery, nor the neighbors having surveillance cameras catching his car on them.

This. While critical, DM’s testimony only really would have spoken to similarities in physical characteristics to the killer. I feel like the DD driver seeing him and his car as well as the video footage of his Elantra had him realizing he was cooked.

Do you think the judge will disapprove of the plea deal that the prosecution is offering to the defense and therefore choose to move ahead with the trial? That is what could happen if the judge proposes a new plea deal and the defendant refuses it.
Then....we go to trial.

Because his defense lawyer convinced him it was a losing case.

Not sure what the NY Post is reporting about an ID card from a vic. I do know that one or more ID cards were found inside a glove in a box (some think that was even misunderstood, and they were found in a car glovebox). That is the first I have heard of that, in about 2 years, and would be inclined to doubt one was of one of the victims until I hear it from another source. Burglary charges were filed, because, in Idaho, burglary is defined as entering any building, vehicle, or structure with the intent to commit a theft or any felony, which BK clearly did. JMO
Oh, it turns out dozens of MSM stories about the ID broke in 2023 and the Post was recounting the best bits of evidence. I wonder if all the evidence will be available after the plea deal is a done deal...if it happens.

Part of the plea deal better have included him at least sitting down a giving the details and answering every question investigators have for him. If not, the prosecution gets zero out of the deal and in my opinion they were holding every card.
I understand he may not allocute in open court, but I expect a full confession.
I also expect him to have to sit and listen to victim impact statement though the people affected haven’t got much time to put this together.

Am I remembering this correctly? I thought I read in several posts here that part of the deal was BK must pay restitution.

I can’t imagine what dollar amount would be restitution for the family of a murdered college student — no amount would equal the value of your precious child, all the opportunity lost, not to mention “pain and suffering” of the worst kind. But if restitution is part of this deal, how would BK even pay? Certainly his family isn’t responsible.

Might a restitution requirement provide an exception to “Son of Sam” law — book sales providing potential revenue for victims families?

I tell you, if he and his prof write a book, I’d be dying to read it, but not for a second wanting him to have one hay penny of mine.

Just my musings tonight.

I’m probably biased in my opinion but I think it’s extremely gross that BK’s family would show up to the plea deal when it is known that some of the victim’s family members will be there, moo

So killer, liar, burglar, stalker - but worst insult is coward?

I get where you're coming from, but they are not responsible for their son's crime. At the same time, he's still their son.

I'm surprised about it, I don't know why they would want to put themselves in that situation. It will be brutal for them.

If, as some here have speculated, his family convinced him to ask for a plea deal, maybe they are there to "make sure" he follows through. (I know they can't "make him", but I couldn't think of another term....if they are there, maybe he will be more inclined to follow through?)

I think they need to be there, he needs to see the damage he's done to them along with the victims family. Tomorrow will hard for BK, he deserves all eyes on him. JMO

They are victims, too. They were going to be at the trial, so I don't see this as any different.

I think he’s either a sociopath or psychopath, pure speculation but think he couldn’t care less and won’t feel “bad” at all about anything to do with this imo

So I may have missed this answered, but once the plea deal is done, does all of the evidence come out?
