The 48 Hours episode left too many unanswered questions. I think this case is too complex to be able to cover adequately in a 45 minute long program. I was REALLY bothered at how Chris's mother and "best friend" were smiling and not taking the interviews seriously at all. If I had a friend...

I have thought about bombarding this woman with photos of Christopher on the anniversary of his kidnapping and thought a giant billboard near her home with a photo would be appropriate too. I wish I knew someone in her family etc. and could do more to help.

I couldn't have stated it better. Thank you for the post :)

Yes and if I am understanding the charges correctly, he will eventually be eligible for a parole date. More pain subjected to this little girl's family. I caught a documentary the other night about a woman who lived through a BRUTAL rape and had to keep attending parole hearings for the 5 men...

Just remember that the news follows the motto: "If it bleeds - it leads." They don't report about the thousands of children who made it to school safely today because it isn't sensational. You don't have to completely let down your guard, be aware of your surroundings and careful. Just don't let...

Just wanted to mention that there are some parallels between this case and Edmund Kemper. He was vocal in several documentaries in the 80's. I wonder what he would comment about this case. He turned himself in after murdering his mother. He had been murdering and dismembering (some in his own...

I know what you mean. He sure would have had to have a creative way to get to all of those locations without a driver's license. Although at this point, it seems like anything is possible! Hopefully, there is DNA available in some cases for comparison.

Since the documents have all been sealed, does anyone know if that means they will be released as the trial progresses, or after the trial? Or perhaps not at all? I am not interested in gruesome details, but it's only natural that the public is interested in the information the police have. If...

I took my 3 year old too :) She had a great time. Not letting some 17 year old Monster change our traditions.

I feel sorry for that girl. I wouldn't want to be in photos with a monster that showed up every time someone googled his name.

Good point, it's just very frustrating. It's not a curiosity that I want the facts, I want them to try and understand and protect my little girl.

Since the judge has sealed all the documents, when will the public be able to know all of this? So far it looks like a lot of leaks and speculation. I don't agree with any of this. I think there should be cameras in the courtroom, and that the public should be privy to all of the information...

They just said on the news that even with him being tried as an adult, the maximum he can receive is 40 years. That is not enough! That is not justice! :banghead: The more I hear and read about this all, the sicker I feel.

Hopefully they can do a DNA analysis quickly and let us know if this is related or not.

Knowing all you know today about this case who do you think really killed JonBenet?

I have gone from being 100% IDI to PDI now to firmly believing JDI. I don't remember which detective said it, but he said - "Some crimes are exactly what they seem."

Aurora has a very high hispanic population, so if one indeed was hiding out, he could probably easily blend in. However, Aurora is a hotbed of LE activity as well because of all the crime so I am not sure that would be such a smart move to hide out there if there was a manhunt in pursuit of you...

My gut is telling me this is a separate, but very scary incident. Aurora is increasingly growing into an unsafe area. It's been at least 15 years since I visited the Pitchers at Chambers and Iliff, but I remember then thinking it was "sketchy." Since then, it has become a hot spot for fights...

Just saw this on the news site. http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/local-news/aurora-police-search-for-missing-girl This is getting crazy scary. OMG I hope this is some kind of mistake, miscommunication.
