Laura Babcock Murder Trial 11.22.17 - Day 20

    «*Sup bud*» = “what’s up buddy”, a common greeting.

Heini is also slang for buttocks. If you interpret “scooping some heini” to mean “getting a piece of *advertiser censored*” the exchange has a whole new meaning.

Verdict: GUILTY for both Millard and Smich of 1st degree murder

I caution you not to confuse assets with wealth. I know many people who have multiple vehicles, new trucks, big houses, fancy boats, etc who appear wealthy. But their toys are leased or mortgaged and credit cards and lines of credit are maxed out. One has to see the whole picture. DM's...

    Bosma Murder Trial 05.24.16 - Day 54

You are correct. What I should have said is that the economics of operating a cogeneration business only work on a larger scale.

He could be referring to "cogeneration" or "combined heat and power" but they operate on a much larger scale.

Well, not quite. In Ontario plates from passenger cars (like Hondas) have blue letters while plates from pickup trucks (like Rams) have black letters. But your point is valid. The dead body was pro ably a bigger problem that the plates.

    Bosma Murder Trial 04.13.16 - Day 34

I know many people who carry a pocket knife every day. My interpretation is that the only laws specific to knives prohibit switchblades, butterfly knives, etc. It is legal to carry a knife (concealed or not) as a tool, but not as a weapon. I'm not a lawyer, this is MOO. But if I'm wrong, I...

    Bosma Murder Trial 04.13.16 - Day 34

Maybe on TV. But the reality is that handguns are extremely rare in Canada and very few people would use an ankle holster unless they were involved in something illegal. We just don't walk around carrying guns like is done south of the border. If IT was carrying any weapon, I would put my...

Bosma Murder Trial - Weekend Discussion #6

Interesting. I went back and rewatched the video. You are correct that the cab lights can't be seen. My only explanation is that perhaps it's because the truck is angling away from the camera so they are hidden. But a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel does not have a separate switch for cab...

I have also towed large trailers and you are correct - they can be a real handful. However if I were going to Baja I would prefer an enclosed trailer to carry all the required accessories - tools, spare parts, fuel, other gear. I have an enclosed 4 place snowmobile trailer (30 feet long) and...

Those trim pieces are too small to be structural. They are just covering the seams where 2 pieces of plywood meet. MOO

Many people tow larger trailers with single rear wheel 3500 pickups (and 2500 pickups also). The dual rear wheels add stability so the trailer doesn't push the truck around so much.

The cab lights come on with the headlights. No separate switch.

Bosma Murder Trial - Weekend Discussion #6

    1) not long. 2 people can handle it. 2) no since a 5th wheel can't be towed wth the cap in place, most wouldn't have a cap. Many do have tonneau covers though which can be quickly folded or rolled out of the way. 3) 5th wheel hitch can be in place while the cap is on. It doesn't take long to...

Bosma Murder Trial - Weekend Discussion #6

It depends. Some trailers have batteries of their own and can run lights (camper trailers are like this) and others don't. I don't know whether this one has a battery or not.

It's pretty standard for full size trucks to have a 2" receiver. Chevrolet/GM have 2 1/2" receivers and it's a real pain to find attachments becuase the 2" ones are ao prevalent.

DUI is a charge under the Criminal Code in Canada. No license is a Highway Traffic Act offence in Ontario.

    Bosma Murder Trial 02.16.16 - Day 9

"Hidden Hitch" is a brand name. The ball bolts to the bar that you refer to. The device on the door is a backup camera. The trailer wiring plug is the round cap to the left of the license plate.

    Bosma Murder Trial 02.16.16 - Day 9

That is a common type of hitch. The ball gets bolted to a mount that is inserted into the square hole. The wire on the bottom of the door looks like a backup camera that would be useful for hooking up a trailer.
