wesh live blog says ICA and LA looked at one another. Casey smiled. Lee did NOT

  • #1,366
I am disappointed that Lee's testimony was so....bland?

  • #1,367
I love the new catch phrase:

DT: "Objection..."
FG: "I object to the speaking objection!"

ROFL

Is this the "nice black officer" cindy often described?

  • #1,369
Nice suit.....Brendan Fletcher. OC Sheriff's office. Well, LDB back up. Thank goodness.

 Gotta love LDB - She calls the next witness Fletcher...

CJBP asks if it will be long or short.

She says, "From my perspective - short"

I think that was a slam to the DT!

Former Corporal Fletcher..
No longer with OCSO.

  • #1,374
Did the question of "where is AF?" ever get answered? I haven't seen her since the trial started.

AF is only involved in the penalty phase.

Whoa. What a contrast in female voices!

Gitana!

If she comes off hostile to the witness she will alienate him immediately and he will have his guard off. I always thought that it was better in a cross examination to elicit the answers you want from the witness whilst remaining pleasant, courteous and professional (the witness in some cases might not know that he has given an answer damaging to his testimony on direct). There is a difference between examining crossly and cross-examination!

However, I imagine that given your experience you think it is best, when cross-examining an alleged child molester (where the alleged molestation is relevant to the case) before a jury that it is best to imply a degree of disdain for him?

Hi friend!!!!

I agree. I think JB has alienated the jury with his rudeness and disdain. However, I feel that she was overly friendly/cheery with her greeting to someone she claims is a child molester. A more somber, "Good morning Mr. Anthony", no smile, would have been more appropriate.

Ah, now we have LDB. hear how much better and focused she is than Mr. George? To the point, BAM. They need to keep him away from any but the least important witnesses. :twocents:

Wow Mr. Fletcher is very well spoken. Sounds professional

  • #1,379
Wow...finally a LE officer. and he's FINE too. Huge shoulders:innocent:

This officer is the opposite of Lee -- looks far younger than he must be, if he was hired by Sherrif's office back in 1999!
