I'm thinking that the defense was trying to prove how inappropriately Casey acts and deals with grief/stress. She was/is happy and pleasant in jail and she was happy during the 31 days her child had supposedly drowned. The defense hoped to show the jury that Casey is consistent in how she reacts to grief/stress. MOO.
