State's Responses to Murder, Psychopath, Sociopath

State reserves the right to use the word murder because BK is CHARGED with 4 counts of MURDER. No attempt by the Defense for lesser charges like self-defense so murder. It's a murder trial.

As to Psychopath and Sociopath, State says it's not going to use those words....

Except.... since the Defense brought up mental illness (ASD), the Statd might want to have him tested by their experts and depending on what they learn, they might need to adjust using those terms.

I loved that, yep the Defense threw that door wide open. Did you catch that BK's IQ tested out at 119? Not as smart as he thought he was and wanted others to believe.

He also had the lowest level diagnosis of ASD - didn't negatively affect learning or comprehension skills. WOW.

Oh.My.god. That is so unsettling. I thought the previous comment about the thumbs up was a joke....
I'd like to see the data on how many selfies BK takes in a year.
@MassGuy

Holy $#!?

There are so many things that come to mind when I see this photo.

It appears to be taken in a bathroom (maybe missing a shower curtain?). His index finger looks swollen. His color is bad. His hands look red. Even the color of his hair looks off. I try not to be super judgy on looks but WOW.

Why would you take this photo? It's not flattering.

He looks disheveled, up all night, or something very off?!

He was diagnosed with “Autism Spectrum Disorder, level 1, without accompanying intellectual or language impairment.” (Ex. 2, p.16.) His type of ASD is “characterized by severe and sustained impairments in social interaction, but not by cognitive ability.

Defendant “has no plausible argument” that the Eighth Amendment prohibits the imposition of the death penalty based on his ASD. His IQ of 119 is far above the required IQ of 70 or lower. His IQ testing prior to age 18, while lower, is still above 70 and, as admitted by his own expert, “[c]learly . . . an underestimate of his ability from what we now know.”

A sharpener too. And did he plan on buying a replacement knife and sheath after he lost one and dumped one? For what purpose?

OMG

Response, Bushy Eyebrows

The photo of BK, presumably a thumbs up in the mirror

I have no words.

Not posting it but you can find it on P 17. You won't be able to unsee it.

I just plowed through that trove of documents ... and I'm left feeling ill. Full confidence for the State's case but ill for what happened and that the defendant seems quite proud of himself. His parents' greatest shame and he's mugging for his own selfie. I suppose AT would like to remind me he's socially awkward, has inappropriate social responses.

Often I accidentally get lulled into thinking individual criminals had some smarts and skills about them... and I'm always brought back to land at trials. Occasionally there's someone who kills in self-defense who would never, in any other situation, kill anyone, but mostly it's these 1st degree and capital murders where I'm forced to face the fact that monsters walk among us. Corrupt ideas of justice, entitlement. God complexes. Arsonists who hide behind firefighter uniforms. BK IS EXACTLY the sort of person who would commit a crime like this.

I bet he wishes he could bask out loud about it. Lecture on it. How quickly it went down, how the recon and surveillance felt.

I feel so sorry for the families. There will be little consolation and never a show of any sort of remorse from the defendant.

His selfie is seared in my brain and I don't want it there. He looks like someone who confronted his fears and did the bungee jump. After slaughtering four young people he could only have known tangentially, if that.
Revolting.

Done.

State's Response, Amazon clicks

Look at the footnote.

Purchase confirmed.
RBBM

Game, set, match.

Just some of my musings- I wonder if BK/AT will claim he lost the knife he purchased as well as the sheath that held said knife? Or that someone stole his knife and sheath? If either is the case, imo he’d need to testify and explain how either happened. And his team needs to explain how the person/‘real killer’ managed to transfer only BK’s DNA onto the underside of snap button of the sheath. Oh but wait, didn’t BK or BK via AT say early on that he never owned a Ka-Bar knife or sheath? or am I misremembering that?? Or will BK/his team claim he purchased it for someone else lending credence to the BK never owned a Ka-Bar knife or sheath? Who on earth would he buy a Ka-Bar knife and sheath for??? Or will they claim someone else bought it using his computer and had access to his financial info in order to purchase it? Like what, his Mom, Dad, Sister/s really purchased the knife using his credentials and financial info???

Rhetorical questions but imo none of the above is plausible/believable, actually laughable imo given all the other damning evidence against him linking him to the crime/murders:
we now have confirmed BK’s purchase of K-Bar knife; only his single source DNA found on sheath at crime scene in victim’s bed; phone activity/non activity; vehicle like his on surveillance looping around and speeding away from the scene; dozen trips to the area pre-murders; drove by area of scene later that morning; eyewitness description doesn’t exclude him; and last but not least, no valid alibi.

Give it up BK, you’re goose is totally cooked!

I think hair looks darker because, IMHO, he is fresh out of the shower and it is still wet.

Yah, I bet the defense doesn't want the jury to see those eyebrows in that picture, from the hours after the murders. Nope, not bushy at all, move along.

IMO to make sure the knife was as sharp as he could get it before using it. He was taking no chances that it would come from Amazon sharp enough for his purpose.

He reminded me of Ralph Feinnes in the horror movie Red Dragon in that pic. Was he starring in his own horror movie or was he going to send that pic to someone? Maybe he'd hooked up with demonic others on some sicko channel or dark web?

Perfect saying for a vegan like him!
