What time was the selfie compared to the first 911 call? Clearly that photo is important to the state, maybe because it shows more than his accomplished thumbs up.
According to filings, photo was taken at 10:31 am, Nov 13, and 911 call was placed at 11:56am.

That selfie just weirds me out.

I am guessing he took it close to the time he was planning on driving back to the crime scene to see all of the commotion he had caused.

He couldn't control himself that day. I bet he was excited and giddy about it and I wonder if there was anyone in his life that noticed a change in him during that time?

If what the state believes is accurate, he had already returned to the area of King Rd residence and gotten back home a short while before taking the photo.

According to the state...GPS data is consistent with his phone leaving Pullman at 9:00am, getting within area of King Road from 9:12-9:21, and traveling back to Pullman at 9:32.

Great picture! Zoom in, that is not a shower curtain on the right. You can see the tile grout.
Someone said earlier that it is squares. Like when you unfold a shower curtain.

I'm sorry, what? Are they mad? 🐛😁

If he drove by 1122 in the morning
there will be footage.

Maybe he could tell from a mile off there was no response yet or he was tuned into to a police scanner so he was sure about the as yet lack of police response.

Now, if that picture would have been taken at 9:15 let's say, that would have thrown a wrench in everything.

But, as we can see, in chronological order where he is what he's doing and how he's taking pictures... everything fits and it makes him look even more guilty.

I've gone back and forth on this in my head, but settling on it being a shower curtain for several reasons.

1) I think I can see the top of the curtain here:

2) At one point I wondered if it was sunshine though a window but I'm thinking that line would be straight, and it's curvy.

3) The "grout lines" don't line up on what I think is a curtain.

4) If they were grout lines and that's the corner of the shower, I'd think they'd be more angled something like this:

5) Lastly... one of those "grout lines"/shower curtain folds looks convex to me, not concave:

All just my amateurish opinion on shower curtains and grout. :)
I think you nailed this! Bam! I do think that's a shower curtain, and I think it is one that had been all folded up so that when it is unfolded you see all the little squares.

In the Defendant's Response RE: Neuropsychological and Psychiatric Evidence, the defense is arguing to admit expert testimony related to ASD, OCD and Developmental Coordination Disorder to rebut/explain circumstantial evidence to be presented by the prosecution.

"Such relevant evidence can assist the trier of fact in evaluating circumstantial evidence the State may put forward and since all testimony would be subject to vigorous cross-examination, it would clarify and not confuse jurors."

They mention fear of getting things into his eyes several times. I wonder what circumstantial evidence they're going to try to explain with fear of getting things into his eyes? The balaclava?

I'm also really curious to know more about the selfie--did he send it to someone or post it somewhere? Was this something he did often or it was rare? If it wasn't something he did often and he didn't send it to anyone, I wouldn't be surprised if it was some type of commemorative photo.

It appears that he had recently returned from his earlier drive-by an hour previous to that pic being taken.

Pg 15 of affidavit:

Further review indicated that the 8458 Phone utilized cellular resources on November 13,
2022 that are consistent with the 8458 Phone leaving the area of the Kohberger Residence at
approximately 9:00 a.m. and traveling to Moscow, ID. Specifically, the 8458 Phone
utilized
cellular resources that would provide coverage to the King Road Residence between 9:12 a,m.
and 9:21
am. The 8458 Phone next utilized cellular resources that are consistent with the 8458
Phone traveling back to the area of the Kohberger Residence and arriving to the area at
approximately 9:32 a.m.

So 59 minutes after returning from his drive-by he was taking that pic. Since his hair looks wet, I'm thinking he was "showering" for close to an hour.

The State intends to introduce a photograph of Bryan Kohberger taken from his phone on November 13, 2022, only hours after the homicides at 10:31 a.m.

You mean, like a BRAND NEW shower curtain because he got rid of the one he used either showering off after returning home, or had used it to make a barrier between him and this car seat and pedals for the drive home after the murders? ;)

So he left part of the murder weapon at the scene with his DNA. and he ordered said weapon from amazon. and shopped for a replacement.

no wonder they have to argue he was framed.

it’s bonkers to me such an overwhelming case takes years to come to trial and then the trial will take so many weeks?

what on earth are they planning to present which could take so long?

surely this thing will be over in 3 weeks max?

Bloody crime scene, I expect AT to try to explain that BK's ASD and OCD preclude him from the crime because he wouldn't willingly get blood in his eyes. Something she'll exaggerate in her opening statement and never deliver on. Whatever peculiarities BK may have had, his desire to drive across town, break into a house he had no visions being in and commit murder overrode any holdback.

But there's this too. If he only intended to find and kill one victim, gloved up, where would he have encountered blood? I think his design was to kill quickly with efficiency, without being any blood on himself, face included.

Maybe he looks wet because after he got home from his drive by he was excited by the thrill of it and he showered to do what some people do in the shower, besides washing, and then the selfie because he was having a great day so far 🤮

He's got ear buds in, wonder if he was listening to the news, waiting to hear.

And... that trip past the house that morning could have also been a reason to get rid of the shower curtain had he used when showering or as a buffer between him and his car interior after the murders.

With that said... I wonder if he bought a new shower curtain at Alberton's the day of the murders, knowing full well he'd need a new one.

At approximately 12:46 p.m., the 8458 Phone then utilized cellular data in the area of the
Albertson's grocery store at 400 Bridge Street in Clarkston, Washington. Surveillance footage
obtained from the Albertson's showed Kohberger exit the white Elantra, consistent with Suspect
Vehicle l, at approximately 12:49 p.m. Interior surveillance cameras showed Kohberger walk
through the store, purchase unknown items at the checkout, and leave approximately 1:04p.m.

I think the drive by caught on news video may have been BK. When was that, the day after?
