It's futile and AT is not dumb, she is throwing everything that isn't bolted down out of the wagon. And he definitely had the dexterity to place individual personal items in individual plastic bags???

weirdly enough its actually not very easy to stab someone especially with a big blade. if the blade is really thin and has a very sharp point its easy enough.if its a big blade you need to have the point in exactly the right place. sorry for the grim details. i'm thinking the defence might state he does not have the dexterity and strength of grip to be able to do as is alleged. the prosecutions counter should simply be that plunging a knife downward from above onto a prone person is not difficult and does not need great strength or dexterity. yeh really sorry for the grim details. next bit is extra grim but with two people in the room and one more or less waiting for him to move onto her means she probably wasn't prone when attacked. we also have the indication that ethan was standing when attacked, so whats the likelihood that someone built like ethan was able to be subdued by a slight kohberger?
this is all hypothetical and me just trying to put myself in the defences shoes. sorry for the grim details.

Anyone change a shower curtain or liner lately? Those rings are a pain to change and require fine motor skills IMO, whether plastic or metal. IMO.Agreed. Throw everything on the wall to see what sticks. So far, nothing.
"Compulsive shower curtain changing"? BK is just plain weird. Probably a lot of other fancy psychological terms. But, since there were so many terms on the list we can't use....this will suffice.
Probably to be stricken tomorrow. She is probably reading our comments religiously each night.
He had to have known that if caught, his purchase records would be requested and received. That tells me he had a very high conviction that he would not be caught. Boy was he wrong, thank goodness. Not to mention that BK bought the knife and it seems unlikely a person buys a knife like that with the intention of using it as a paperweight.
Don't use rings. There are a lot of shower curtain styles. Some easier to use than others. Here's one such:Anyone change a shower curtain or liner lately? Those rings are a pain to change and require fine motor skills IMO, whether plastic or metal. IMO.

Mine are similar to this, but fancier and heavier. Plus going through a liner and curtain. My rod is wider as well. I'm gonna look for something like this. I wonder what he had in his shower?Don't use rings. There are a lot of shower curtain styles. Some easier to use than others. Here's one such:

Respectfully, maybe the weapon chosen was to take into account any perceived abilities, or lack thereof?Well but wasn't he fired from the job for bad dexterity?

Idaho murders suspect was fired because he was so bad at using a knife
Charles Conklin, pictured left, told DailyMail.com that Kohberger lasted just 20 days at his fishing lake as he was so unskilled at fileting fish, while the 'loner' was also 'difficult, withdrawn and shy'.www.dailymail.co.uk
Is this new info ? I don't remember reading about this before.
Prosecutors want to use school paper allegedly detailing crime scene in Idaho college murders trial
Maybe, i thought it was he did not make customers happy, i.e. not doing the way they wanted.Well but wasn't he fired from the job for bad dexterity?

I like to see that the State is now doing the same thing the D has been trying to do-----asking for suppression of certain terms and negative suggestions used in front of the jury.
The D wants to suppress terms such as 'Psychopath' and 'Bushy eyebrows.'
The State wants to suppress comments like ' The prosecutor wants to kill our client. 'The state wants to murder My Kohberger'
WOW!!! Very cool!!Ahhh, but there is. The iPhone keeps great logs that are accessible with the software LE uses to get info from the phone. Cellebrite is an extremely powerful tool and pictures accessed would be logged. MOO.
I've previously stated that I believe (JMO) they quite a bit of info from his phone.

Count me among those who think that knife and sharpener were stowed somewhere they could be retrieved when the time was right.Something else I wondered about. BK must have ditched his knife sharpener as well, I don't recall seeing it on the lists of items retrieved during the searches.
ah thats interesting and graphic. I was literally thinking of its penetration ability and yes its actually not so easy to penetrate the skin with a knife at least not with a big fat blade. the slicing is a different equation as you have seven inches of chance to inflict damage whereas the point has to be wielded with enough force and momentum to go deep enough. weirdly enough a study has been done. All the info and reviews on the USMC Ka-bar knife that I've read (my search history is fun as are the ads that get suggested to me) pretty much align with this one:

re: the tip
"The clip point itself is not sharp but it is beveled for easier penetration in tactical situations.
A clip point has its advantages and disadvantages:
--Very efficient penetration ability
--Excellent slicer"
the efficiency of the blade:
"I butcher plenty of chickens every year. Without getting into the gorry details, I’ll just say this knife is the most efficient “slicer” I own. A single pass from the KA-BAR’s 7-inch blade does very clean work of a dirty job."
I've already posted YT videos I found where people use it to cut through multiple water filled gallon jugs in one sweep. And there are plenty of YT videos where people demonstrate using it to stab and/or slice with slabs of meat/hunks of pig carcass (not going to go back to find those links because I really don't want that populating my feeds again).
BK had a sharpener, so you know he made sure his was as sharp as could be. Even an uncoordinated swing/slash with an extremely sharp 7" blade is going cause severe damage. He wasn't a 90 lb weakling with no upper body strength. And poor fine motor skills isn't the same as having poor grip strength.
What indication do we have that Ethan was standing because I've seen just as many indications that he never got out of the bed? And on the off chance that Ethan had gotten up, all indications were that he would have been waking from sleep as well as having been drinking a lot the evening before. BK would be fully awake, not drunk or dealing with the after effects of alcohol, and would have the element of surprise+adrenalin on his side.
Yeah, but there's degrees. I'd imagine most of us couldn't filet a fish well or neatly enough for a job, but wouldn't find it beyond us physically to stab someone.
