Defense wants to inform the jury, for the guilt phase, that ASD is a development, neuropsychological, physical disorder....

So they want to introduce that in their opening statement so the jurors don't find unfavorable for BK.... because I guess behaviors for which he didn't choose the disease.

That'd be fairly easy to prove by questioning each of his family members on the account if they made the purchase, and where was it delivered to.

I am confused. The Defense wants to tell the Jury during their Opening statements about his ASD. IMO, they don't want jurors to make their own opinion about why he does not respond appropriately, the Defense wants to tell them why.

And....he had those (fine motor skills, dexterity) issues as a child.

The defense is also using the ASD as to why he can not testify.

The defense doesn't want the state to imply that there is anything odd or negative about BK wearing gloves and does not want them to mention shower curtains, due to his disorder.. I wonder why?? Hmmmm. Could it be that some juror might surmise that he used it as part of his murder cleanup ?? ?
