Ok....but here's the problem I have. Let's say it went down the way both of you said.

Both of you say: "...she saw the sliding glass door open..."

I could see that happening. But, it is November. She's not going to leave it open. She is going to close it.

SG said in his latest interview the victim's doors and slider were open.
You're not going to close it if you think there's an intruder already in the house. Door open, sounds upstairs.

So this is just thoughts. Could there have been a security system disarmed however, it beep when the entrance doors open? Possibly a smartphone alert and audible tone from the base? You know how it dings every time the door opens even when alarm is disabled.
This may have been why Xana was where she was, came to see or why DM said that KG said, someone is here. Jmo
Could very well be.
But, KG and MM were texting and dialing Jake to come see KG. It sounds like this happened alot. M00

Between Jake coming and going as well as others in a party house that ding would be going off constantly. M00

Yeah, you could definitely FEEL an open door even without seeing it at that time of year in Idaho. It's entirely possible that XK felt the cold air while bringing leftovers to the fridge or something and said, "IS someone here?" (misheard by half-asleep DM) before being overtaken by BK and chased back to her room. I definitely think the slider was his point of entry/exit.

No
I would think: "Man, I bet KG drunk dialed Jake again to come over. Grrrr... can't he even shut the slider!"

My first thought wouldn't be an intruder. It was a party house with different ones coming and going.

Anyway...just my thoughts...

Who's to say she didn't see it open, close it, and then run into BK after? Nothing preventing him from just opening it again to leave.
Right now I'm going to go on SG's latest interview. He said victim's doors and slider were open.

Yes, this makes alot of sense to me. As if she was on her way there and was startled by him.

I know, I just mean that before BK left and before he ran into Xana she could have seen the slider open while in the kitchen and closed it, and then BK could have just opened it again to leave and left it open. I agree with your other post after the one I replied to that Xana might not have been immediately alarmed by the open slider and have just thought someone's boyfriend had come over. Especially because that particular night everyone in the house was out/up very late and at the time of the murders at least 3/6 of them were still awake (BF, DM, and Xana). Even the "someone's here" could have been more annoyed/curious than anything else- after all, DM didn't say anything about that particular line sounding distressed or anything.

Good point. If it happened that way, surely their would be blood on the handle. Have we heard either way if there was blood on the handle?

Eh, maybe, maybe not. He could have wrapped his hand in his sleeve to open the handle, or if his sleeve had blood on it, taken off a sweatshirt or jacket to open the handle with, etc. I'm sure there was some blood on him but at this point with all we know it doesn't seem like he was covered in it.

Bottom line though to get back to the matter of Xana & the sliding door is just that basically I don't think that anything we've learned up till now proves that she did or didn't see the open door (though I do think it's more likely she did given that it was SO cold like sprightly pointed out), nor do I think we can assume she definitely would have closed it if she did see it or definitely wouldn't have and instead raced straight back to Ethan to tell him there was an intruder & likewise that she definitely would have been immediately alarmed at it being open or definitely would have thought it was nothing, just a roommate's visitor. I could understand her reacting any one of those ways, no one seems all that more likely than the others.

If she was just at the slider to retrieve her food and then 10-12 minutes later found it open, it would freak her out.

If she went to go shut it, but turned around cause she was startled by a noise on the upstairs steps, peeks around the corner, sees him then runs...this would make sense to me. Because the door is still open yet Xana ran to her room....

My feeling too.
I’ve always thought Xana actually saw him and said “someone is here”, mostly back to Ethan but also because she is startled by it.
Then BK attacks her as she tries to retreat into the bedroom.

I can’t image how terrified Xana must have been if it happened this way, although I think it is highly probable.

Now that we know that Kaylee was punched in the face/had a broken nose...

Dylan said she thought Kaylee was playing with the dog. I am wondering if Kaylee's head thudded against the wall (maybe more than once if punched repeatedly) & those thuds, reverberating down the wall were what Dylan heard & assumed was noise from playing with the dog? (Maybe she interpreted it as a ball being bounced on the wall or floor?)

Pure conjecture & MOO.

Sadly, not only do I think Xana saw BK as he was coming down the stairs, but I am afraid she almost surely saw him kill Ethan before coming back to finish killing her. Part of me hopes she was so traumatized at that point, that she was unable to comprehend what she was seeing, but I fear that she probably was, and I am sure his 'words of comfort' only terrorized her even more.

Regardless of how one feels about capital punishment, if ever someone deserved the death penalty, I cannot imagine anyone more deserving than BK. JMO

Hippler is fine. He’s exactly what this case needed.
That said, just judging judges on judging and not dreamyness, Judge Newman from the Murdaugh trial is still my favorite judge. I don’t want to marry him, my husband probably wouldn’t like that, but I do plan on naming our next dog Judge Newman and calling him “Judge”.

“Brang in the jury!”

Edit: can’t spell

Ha, ha!!

Gotta love it!

My daughter has an iphone and it is about 99% accurate within 20-30 feet at any given time. But that 1% can put her in a field across the street from her school! LOL
