Right, and wasn't there pictures early on of CSI looking at skid marks at the scene?
yes, but they looked older and so they were just gathering ALL POTENTIAL evidence.

Was the 1st call about bolstering an alibi? I woke up called my folks…He talked for considerably longer than an hour. He placed three calls to a phone in Pa, registered to his father, that morning. First call was placed at 6:17am, BK's time, literally two hours after leaving the King Road house, and lasted 36 minutes. There were two other calls, including the one that lasted 54 mins. I wonder if that was normal routine for him? I find it very hard to believe that three calls, lasting for that duration, at that time of day, did not register as unusual to his parents. I would love to know if he acted and sounded normal on those calls, or whether he seemed unusually excited or chatty. If not before, then certainly after some details of the murders began to come out, details such as time of murders, general appearance of suspect car, description of type of weapon used, one would think that whoever he talked to that morning would reflect back on those calls, with perhaps new concerns. No one wants to believe that one of their loved ones could be capable of such horrendous acts, but at some point, that had to cross their minds. We know it did for one sister, at least, and allegedly perhaps his father, as well. JMO

MoO is that he was exhausted and by the time he registered seeing her he was already gone.
His Dad was pretty chatty during the LE stop on the drive home to PA on 12/15. Can you imagine if he mentioned that their car was similar to the one they were looking for? BK would have loved that. The phone call I really want to hear about is the first call that he either told his parents about the murders, or they heard of them through news or internet. What about the first call after it became known that LE were looking for a car very similar to his? Did he quickly point out that he was glad that his was a 2015, since they were looking for a 2011-2013? Was he eager to talk to his parents about the murders, as news unfolded, or did they ask him about them? Did they avoid the subject? Did he steer talk away from them if they came up? Did he pretend not to be following them, or conversely, did he give them "too much" information, perhaps some that was not yet public? What was the point at which the first family member thought, omg, it may have been him? Did they share that with all of the other family members right away? Did anyone dare ask BK about any similarities or coincidences they may have become aware of?
Those are the phone calls I really want to hear about. JMO

No, it was 6:17am, Washington time, PST. It was 9:17am in Penn., EST. Still seems awfully early on his end though, to be so chatty. I would think that would have seemed unusual, but maybe not for him.He called his dad … at 4:17 AM Penn time on a Sunday?

Dateline reported that it is believed that when he entered through the second floor, unlocked slider, the killer bypassed the two bedrooms on that level and went directly upstairs to Maddie's room, leading investigators to conclude that she was the primary target. If BK had no prior connection to any of the victims, as is thought, Maddie is the one he most easily could have spied on, and become fixated on, as her bedroom window could be easily seen into from the parking area beside and behind the house, where he likely stopped and perved many of the alleged 23 previous trips to within 100 meters of the house. JMODid they expand on why it's believed Maddie was the target? I thought it was interesting that they stated she was the target and that Kaylee would have surprised him, considering the narrative for so long seemed to be that Kaylee was the target.
Hey all! Long time WSer here (although predominantly UK based thread) who had taken an extended hiatus from WS as it took up too much of my time lol.
So upon deciding to venture back on Ws, what do I do? Decide to look into this case and have now spent every available minute of the last 4 weeks reading every post of every 106 threads.. glutton for punishment!!
Do I think LE have the right guy? 100%
Do I think it's a slam dunk case? It's certainly heading that way although who knows what curve balls may be thrown.
On a side note. I hope LE never have any reason to check my Amazon clicks!
Keep in mind, this would have been a Sunday morning, when people who do not normally attend church at that time may choose to sleep in a bit longer than on weekdays, and those who do attend, may be up early to get ready to go to services, as his parents perhaps did. Does not seem like the ideal time to be chatting, on Sunday morning, to me. JMOSame.
If he’s notorious for being a night owl, perhaps making a call at that time is not so unusual for him, and 9-ish may be a reasonable time for his father to receive a call.
To me, it’s the length of time of the call that triggers suspicion. Some kind of weak alibi? Coming down maybe from the “thrill” of what he’d done? How frequently beforehand did he call his dad multiple times at the start of the workday on the East coast?
Just speculating.
His Dad did mention to the cop that pulled them over in Indiana that BK went to WSU "the place where those murders took place".His Dad was pretty chatty during the LE stop on the drive home to PA on 12/15.
