Thankyou for saying this. I'm still catching up, but I've been looking out for a post like I was planning to make.
My take is that there is such a lot of talk about SG and what he wants, and would accept etc, and the details of that aside, I think it's worth noting that there are 3 other sets of parents and wider family involved here, and just because SG's voice is the loudest, it doesn't make his the only voice.

I'm sure I read way back that at least one family, and I'm thinking it was The Chapin's, weren't advocating for the DP.
Don't take that as fact because I would have to search for an article to back it up, so this is just my opinion.
SG stated in a recent podcast posted up thread that basically remaining silent wasn't an option. The roommates and Ethan should get attention to take away attention from BK. IMO.

That gave me a whole new view from his shoes. Perhaps the other families just don't want all the attention. I do not know ANYONE who hasn't heard of this crime.

Moo

I was just shocked by how fast he drove away. I know they said it was a high rate of speed, but I was not expecting what I saw.
Yes! Tires squealing and almost hit someone. I don’t know who that someone is though.

something might have spooked him...he had to know screeching out of there would make noise and draw attention. he may have been unable to control the adrenaline. more evidence against him.
there he goes tearing away out like a bat out of hell. mOO

Thinking like a female juror who was once a distance runner, him being on a trail at night scares the bejeepers out of me. WhenI finished a run when it started to get dark, running into a man at that time of night would have scared me.

I would like all men to pause and reread this. Women do not feel safe at night and we are not trying to blame you. It is a fact, we cannot go running in the dark, but somebody who is a misogynist and thinks like BK can. JMOO

This reminds me about the young students and how they felt about security. They might have been lax but they also did not have life experience of events like break-ins, too many creepy dudes, or feeling absolutely threatened walking back and forth to class like the rest of the campus did after the murders. Everyone got personal security alarms. Moscow was forever changed by 11/13.

Again, I'm still catching up so please bear with me, but I agree. It's always been my opinion that he planned to rape and kill Maddie that night, and Kaylee threw his plan into chaos.

I was also going to reply that an object could just as easily be used for a serial assault, possibly the handle of a knife, but @bugenjoyer beat me to it, so I'm agreeing instead :)

One more thing to note, although I dont believe it would have been true in this case as the coveralls say different, but rapists have been known to use condoms. Though I doubt that would fully negate the possibility of DNA, and then there's hairs and skin cells that could be left.
JMO

Would be interesting to know if he had waxed or shaved his body hair to reduce leaving DNA. If he had planned the rape. MOO, is that the stabbing, was his "pseudo" sexual act. I don't think he has the sex drive of Bundy, because we have never heard of BK having a girlfriend. Ted Bundy had several.

Hey, I think you tripped over something with this comment. Maybe this is the confidential informant people talk about on the interwebs. I hope somebody saw him. JMOO

Stabbing is a stand-in for rape without sexual penetration.

If he did he forgot to trim those bushy eyebrows! :p

They also probably felt safe because there were 5 or 6 of them. And they're young and feel bulletproof. It's like when college girls go to a bar in a group. They think, "Of course we're safe. We're not alone." And "nothing bad has happened in our four years..."

This was difficult to watch. UI graduation occurred this past Saturday. I found this article with video to share:

Big hugs to his Mom Stacy and Dad Jim, Brother Hunter and Sister Mazie. Let's wish them collectively the best from everyone here in Moscow and beyond.

Just messaged the producer of that Dateline episode, and he said the broadcast was referring to Kohberger nearly hitting a parked car.

Just to clear up any confusion.

It gets dark out here in rural PA and big same there. I don't even like to walk on my tiny towns sidewalks without pepper spray.

Thinking about it, the delay between the voices/thud and the dog beginning to bark is interesting but I don't know what to make of it. I wonder if DM heard a dog barking while she opened her door that final time.
This is what I'm thinking - DM heard a dog barking.

We've got quite the Bry-isms going...Brybrow (Megnut) Discoverbry (You) and my annoying I'm sure Bye bye, Bry, any others I've missed?

Some much needed levity in this very dark, awful case.

JMO

"AliBry'" another Megnut zinger lol, but Brybrow is still my favourite 😁

The video feed, of BK's car in the vicinity of the murders, nails him there, with the DNA, sheath, Amazon records, eyewitness testimony, and we still have not seen everything the prosecution has against BK.

Call that trial done deal, sealed and delivered to the jury. I am trying to conceptualize the defense. It seems like the defense strategy was to try to get all evidence suppressed for some reason. The defense can harp on random DNA in the house that was not tested, but, why bother when the murder weapon sheath was found right under the victim's body? That is the DNA to test, right there.

Turning on Anne Taylor voice:

"Ah, but remember--there's no proof that it is his car and him driving it because they couldn't see the license plate in any video of that night and they can't see who is inside the car in the video.

There were just oodles of white Elantras from a similar model year and with only a rear plate that could have been driving around that neighborhood in the middle of the night. Why, even the car that is seen doing loops on the neighbor's security camera--who can be sure it's the same Elantra each time? One white Elantra goes around, and there's another one to replace it! Those darned white Elantras with one plate are as thick as bunnies around these parts."

Who SAVES social media photos of people they don't even know???????

He puts the WTF in Freaky.

JMO

Note to self, don't show Megnut my Google Photos 😬 😂

I tend to save lots of random people's social media posts and photos when I'm following a case, and very rarely remember to delete them

Granted though, I don't do it because I'm a deranged psycho killer hunting victims 👀

I’m not great with puns, but in the spirit of solidarity I will offer “drivebry,” for the repeated times he drove by the house that night.
