This tragedy seems to be breaking news:

Police said they responded to King Road for a report of an unconscious person. When officers arrived, they “discovered four individuals who were deceased...”

Eerie parallels

A coworker of BK discovers someone has been in her house. Moves a cake. Lines up her toiletries. Her housekey disappears from her desk drawer in the office she shares with BK, then reappears.

A sibling of BK's stars in a movie, of murder, a knife, skin carving, and a lone killer, lurking in the dark, sometimes just watching them sleep. One has to assume BK watched the film and was impressioned by it.

Sibling's character decides to leave camp, makes it a distance, falls, breaks her glasses, and reaches safety. However.... cue the creepy music... her campmates find her glasses. Sitting outside her tent.

I can't help but to wonder if BK had been in MM's room before. Just rearranging things. Perhaps taking mementos. Taking them, putting them back.

Most 4s in the mornings, everyone would be asleep. No KG, no Murphy...

Maybe that's where the escalation is.

Hot prowling.
Moving things around.
Taking things.
Putting them back.
Watching people sleep.
Feeling powerful.
Invisible.
Invincible.
In control.
One thin step to dominance, violence, ultimate power.

Trailer at link, movie on Prime.

There have been a few bold, prolific killers who did similar things. Rex Heuerman (LISK) liked to stalk an employee and later let them know. Gene Leroy Hart, who was believed to have murdered and raped young Girl Scouts at summer camp also used to break into women's apartments, go through their belongings, move things around, etc. That finally ended when he broke into the apartment of a woman police officer. Also Col. Russell Williams RCAF pilot who broke into homes of women while they were sleeping to steal their undergarments, then try them on, later raping and murdering some. It's all very much about control and feeding their sexual fantasies.

Yeah it's interesting I see theft of ideas, recycling, etc. everywhere in his pattern. JMOO

I can't imagine that Judge HIppler will rush to make a ruling on the motion to continue, but I also do not expect him to take any longer than he needs. Any thoughts on when his ruling may come down? He seems to like to rule toward the end of the week, and not let things linger into the weekend unnecessarily. I doubt we may get a ruling before this holiday weekend, and it will only come if the motion is granted. Any thoughts?

Interesting about his Ted Bundy internet searches. Wasn't there a bit of speculation that his roaming around the area might be linked to murders Ted Was suspected of carrying out?

Intriguing. BK chooses a university in Washington, Ted Bundy's old stomping grounds.

Wow, I wonder if he went to any of BT's sites?!

Rough one-if he takes a while, defense may say they were unable to prepare because they lost precious time. I think Judge Hippler’s holiday weekend plans just blew up.

I await the Hippler Hammer to bring this nonsense to a close.

Sure, AT, why not explore his family going back three generations? Are you going to exhume those who have passed on? Your boy killed four young people and the blame is not on his ancestors.

IMO this is thoroughly ridiculous and quite transparently a means of stalling unto eternity.

I wonder if the defense will ask the judge to appoint a special counsel to look into the leaks that were shown on Dateline. But so far she hasn't, but maybe she is waiting until the judge issues his response to her motion. Then, if she wants a special counsel to look into it, then she might file another motion requesting it, unless the judge orders a special counsel before her request, if one is made.

The defense could argue that there should be a continuance of the case until such time as the special counsel completes their investigation. On the other hand, though, I wonder if there are risks to this strategy by the defense, so they are holding off on this.
Or simply waiting for the right time to introduce such a motion.

I can think of one good reason why the defense would not ask the judge to appoint a special counsel to look into the source of the leaks shown on Dateline...

Wasn't it just at this last hearing that AT wanted some of what the State was having, wanted her support staff to have access to highly sensitive materials, to which the judge said yes, but admonished -- you are professionally responsible for what anyone under you does --

He doesn't mince meat.

After Delphi, I've seen what Defense attorneys are willing to do, using fellow lawyers and TubeUsers to disseminate information, despite gag orders. Not just brassy, sketchy. Sketchy where sketch undermines justice.

For sure, AT is strategizing with the trial clock. IMO running Hippler out of runway in order to force a continuance.

Obviously Dateline was full of all kinds of new and titillating tidbits, but we're still months away from the scheduled start date. Global media is here to stay, and trials will go on....

Setting that issue aside, is there ANYTHING in AT's motion that is new? Great deal of regurgitation, including vomiting up motions the judge already swallowed. Reads like ChapGpt wrote it. 30 pages of what it means to be a DP defense attorney. And a brief expose on what a defense attorney could do if she explored every avenue, regardless how far afield. Based on her proffer, no defense would ever be ready for trial and no judge could stick to a trial date without violating AT's ludicrous standard. Even if BK's great grandparent had an IQ of 20, it won't grant BK protected status.

My question stands -- of the first part -- is there anything new there for the judge to rule on?????? Different day, same sandwich IMO.
