They could only know that a garment of clothing had been removed from the house if it is something one of the survivors knew for certain was in the house when they all came home.

For example if it was a distinctive T-shirt that one of the victims had been wearing on the night out itself.

Other Examples: if one of the survivors established their jacket they wore to come home in was now missing from the house. Or their favourite towel they always had hanging in the bathroom had disappeared.

Or if it could be seen that a victim had been stripped or had their clothing item cut off and that particular item was not present but the fibres still were.

Could the thudding noise be BK falling down stairs or steps, losing footing and falling?

Re the film story of his sister, is it possible he contributed much to that story ? So perhaps it's even *his* story? For a film / script writing student, they're often asked to come up with a short film in each genre. Maybe he helped her come up with it?

JMO MOO
No, BK didn't contribute to the film script. I read about the film and it was written way before it was filmed. It was written by University students and they wrote it specifically for a University program funded by corporate donations for University film students to make an independent feature. So it was an ongoing University project that his sister later auditioned for.

At last, I’ve solved the mystery of the vacuum cleaner like object she saw him carrying!
It wasn’t the knife wrapped in a towel or a piece of clothing!

It was a vacuum cleaner … the real reason he went there.
The murders happened when they saw him stealing the vac. and tried to stop him.
Whew, I’m glad that’s over.

Now I’m going to work on the “thud”.
Nah, it was one of those scrubby brushes. He heard they didn't change their shower curtains often enough.

Kidding aside, how absurd is AT? Twice asserting that furtive behavior is instead normal behavior. BK wasn't slinking around his parents' house ar dark-thirty, separating and diverting trash, and potentially gold-fishing evidence; no, he was cleaning the bathroom. Yeah, maybe he was scrubbing bubbles off their shower curtain. So far, she's only presented this nonsense in a motion. We know she knows the judge isn't stupid. IMO she's counting on the public to be.

And now she's saying the merry band of murderers stopped the clock, melted it all over the Dali house, taking time to clean up after themselves. So one, BK who is into middle of the night cleaning, wasn't the one cleaning here, AND two, it was so thorough a. cleaning job, how could feeble BK possibly get that all done in such a short time? Nope, clearly, it was the work of a crew.

I'll eat an entire beach towel if her "cleaning" doesn't prove to be a single action. Like dragging a towel across footprints or setting his knife down in the bathroom to get blood out of his eyes or swiping a towel to cover his bloody knife before leaving.

I do think BK stayed at the crime scene line then he needed to and I can't quite figure out why. I just can't imagine combat lasting five minutes in close quarters with a knife thst size. So maybe he did sit a spell...

If anybody did any cleaning though, it was him, trying to get bloody evidence off himself or hide his own footprints.

Forgive me, but it seems that BK spent considerable time, relatively, in XK's room.

Some of us have said he's not capable of an actual relationship with an actual woman. Not a living one anyway.

Maybe he sat down for the culmination of his sexual fantasy. I'll leave it at that.

One more reason to take a towel or shirt with him.

JMO
Oh. my. That's an idea I hadn't thought of.

It could be why there was a bloody butt print on her chair. I doubt Xana sat in it. Just disgusting to even contemplate.

I'm sorry that I did.

But he entered a house, rented by all women, one to a room, expecting them to be asleep in bed. Has all the markings of a sexually motivated crime.

Risk leaving DNA behind? But risk takers take the risks they want to take.

If that was part of the plan, the risk would have been factored in. But I agree that it was a sexually motivated crime. And it may be that finding and killing the BF of one of the victims was a huge bonus.

I'm recalling serial killer Edward Surratt, who did home invasions, shotgunned the husbands and raped and kidnapped or killed the wives. He was an equal opportunity rapist, arrested for an attack on a 13-year old male, but he evidently preferred home invasion. He was caught after a home invasion in which he beat and tied up the adults and then raped the 15-year old daughter. The father managed to get loose and call LE. Sorry for the grisly details, but I think humiliating the men played a part in what drove him to do terrible things. It may be that BK had no idea that a male on site would intensify his thrill--hence the carving. Just my thoughts. MOOing here.

We really don't know what BK intended to do.

Abduct. SA. Kill. One woman. Two. Four. All. All but one.

His recovered search history might go a long way toward filing in an answer.

He wholly botched surveillance though, must have decided DD wasn't related to the house, must have thought everyone was asleep, must have thought MM would be alone, and either didn't know EC was there or didn't care, if he didn't intend to kill anyone on that floor.

The carving is just so bizarre.

<modsnip - sister's movie is off topic unless/until that comes up in the trial>

Careful and reckless, organized and disorganized, precise and clumsy...

With shockingly depraved indifference.

Okay I did a little YouTube dive and found that Kristi had a "Death Row" t-shirt on pointing to it on the FB page. Finally, understand.
More censoring by Facebook. Kristi has a right to free speach Imo. I certainly dont find her tshirt offensive. No wonder my husband gave up social media yearss ago.

Just a complete horror show very unorganized once he was actually in there. Has no clue how to do surveillance which would clearly show occupants getting food and not all asleep yet.

This leads to his biggest mistake .... losing his sheath with DNA.

And the way it was described was that by the looks of the crime scenes he exhausted himself and sat in that chair to rest.

Sexual component? That likely fueled rage that the coroner mentioned. She said it was a killer who was extremely angry and it takes a lot of anger to stab people over and over. I believe this is overkill which is fueled with that blind rage and yes, likely sexual frustration and anger at woman. Seems like a "If I can't have her no one can."

Also note the coroner did not see signs of sexual assault on the victims but we learned from Steve G that his daughter was punched in the face. Ethan had an artery severed so any carving on his legs seems like "Rage against guys who get the cute girls that BK wanted."

Ugh @Megnut , such a disturbing scenario but could potentially be viable.

As to the theory that Xana is the one who sat in the chair, I don’t see it unless BK shoved her there. She was awake and I suppose would have fought him the entire time without taking a breather.

But who knows? Bryan does and I believe when the trial starts, many of our theories will be either reinforced or fly out the window.

The theory of internet stalking went out the window but BK buying a knife, sheath and sharpener on Amazon came in through a wide open door.

Internet stalking went back IN the window for me.

He bought a gift card to buy a Kbar. One degree of separation.

It wouldn't surprise me to learn that he was aware of one or more roommate's social media, pinned those pages by without pinning them by 'liking' their friends, swiping photos as he went.

23 trips to the neighborhood... maybe it didn't matter to him what his victim's name was. It's just not impossible to me that he may have done some cyber stalking in between his predatory drives.

Regardless, what is really disturbing (alongside every other disturbing thing) is how unaware his victims were...

Full of life, while BK was building out his fantasy.

Full of life, while BK was buying a gift card, then a Kbar... eventually a set of coveralls.

Full of life, while BK was imploding as a TA, probably gathering outrage.

Full of life, while BK was circling 1122 King Road, 23 times over many months...

Full of life, while BK sharpened his sharp knife, got in his car, turned off his phone...

Real life horror movie.

I always wonder "why" so appreciate your insights.

I remember from this recent new info that BK had an online connection to some friends of the victims in the house.

I do not know what the heck this means but it is extremely obvious to me that BK was spying on MM and maybe others in that house. It was no coincidence that his female victims were beautiful and popular coeds with a strong online presence.

His 23 whatever times connecting to the King Rd cell tower were no coincidence either. I agree we can see he was stalking but did not hit the illegal level because for it to be illegal a victim of stalking must file a police report and as you point out, no, they were unaware of him.

Excuse me while I go take something for my now upset stomach.

I listened to The Terrible Night on King Road and I have a couple of questions.

1) 4 charges for murder and 1 charge of burglary. I didn't know about the burglary charge. Did he take something and if he did does LE have it or find it in his apartment or somewhere? A trophy?

2) After going back to PA, BK starts acting strange and his father gets suspicious. Dateline also states that his sister also gets suspicious and tells the father. Which sister? Could they be witnesses?

3) I'm pretty sure the witness list is sealed? Do we know any of the witnesses?

Burglary defined
Every person who enters any house, room, apartment, tenement, store, shop, warehouse, mill, barn, stable, outhouse, or a building, tent, vessel, vehicle, trailer, airplane, or railroad car with intent to commit any theft or any felony (murder in BK's case) is guilty of burglary.
