Off topic but I thought I saw someone here say the jurors were staying in Lafayette or being transported to Lafayette/ did I misread? I can’t find it again

I saw that too. You aren't imagining it. I think someone(s) here also surmised recently that's probably where they'd stay. I've never been to Indiana so I am clueless about its geography, but it seemed to be the consensus that that was the closest town with multiple lodging options.

As always, JMO.

Yes, they are sequestered in Lafayette. It was reported and linked upthread today. I'm assuming that is the location because Delphi is so small and there are hotels in Lafayette.

Lafayette is close to Delphi.

@RoseTree
Although the Indystar did not name the location, they did confirm here that the jurors will be sequestered.

Delphi murder jury selection concludes

Sixteen people selected from Allen County — 12 jurors and four alternates — were picked just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Fort Wayne. On Thursday, the panel is scheduled to be sworn in. On Friday, they'll be at the Carroll County Courthouse in Delphi, roughly two hours away, and will remain sequestered in a hotel throughout the trial, which is scheduled to end Nov. 15.

ETA: no location on hotel cited by MSM

Remains to be seen really - I could believe it went down as the state suggests: that RA followed across and ordered them down the hill, but I want them to have the evidence - actual evidence, beyond circumstantial - to prove the point.

I could just as easily believe, in the absence of anything that definitely says RA is the man who said DTH to the kids, that he didn't do this - that there was someone else who did - if the D presented it to me. Reasonable doubt doesn't seem that hard to achieve from where I sit with this case atm. MOOOO
Libby's video is actual evidence, not circumstantial. How about if they have RA saying or in writing, the guy on the bridge is me. I pulled a gun on those girls and told them to go down the hill. Once down there I told them to strip. I heard ** fill in the blank** so I forced them by gunpoint across the creek? Would that be enough to convict in your opinion? It would be in mine.

I think the chances for the above is pretty darn good considering RA has confessed 61+ times with details and incriminated himself dozens more times. AJMO

Respectfully, I think you're reading that wrong. I don't think they will be lodged two hours away.

Beautiful ceiling window. Love it.

I know it doesn't really matter, but it is striking me that I'm glad the room where all this ugliness will be revealed is a beautiful setting and even has a mellow feel to it. I hope that is a tiny bit of comfort.

I was thinking the same thing....

I think he likely said more than just guys down the hill. I wonder if it was not clear enough to release or if the girls were talking also or :( screaming or something and they couldn't edit enough of them out to release anything except the parts they did. I wonder if he said things that are confirmed on that recording. Like the girls said xyz or I said xyz.

I think that's saying Delphi is two hours away from Fort Wayne where they were sworn in?

The seats for the jury and general public look like horrible back pain waiting to happen! Could they not at least provide super comfy seats for the poor jurors! MOOOO.

LG's video is circumstantial imo, given no one seems to have called LE and named him as the man in the video (moooooo). We've been over my issues and concerns with his "confessions" so I won't relist them here again. Just have to hope to learn a lot more about the entire case before I'd be willing to put RA in prison for the rest of his life.... I'm open to hearing both sides and considering whatever is presented... MOOOOO.

Could be worse. Quinton Simon trial right now, they've got what I call church pews. No cushions.

In the linked video below, Retired FBI profiler J Douglas doesn't think "down the hill' is an Order by the suspect (RA) but a comment by one who is very familiar with the what/where and his desired location he wants to lead the girls towards. Douglas begins at about the 3:00 min mark

Remember Supt Doug Carter? I always think of this video & updated sketch when I think of this case: May 15, 2019
