Abby & Libby - The Delphi Murders - Richard Allen Arrested - #199

I'd be surprised actually if the jurors were permitted IG, whatsapp as those are social media sites... Is there actually any link etc that would tell us one way or the other what the jurors would be permitted to do on devices that are internet connected? MOOO.
The court has all their Social Media platforms and I know for sure they monitor them during the trial. We have seen jurors get busted for tweeting questionably etc. You can be held for contempt of court and fined because it can cause a mistrial.

But I do think jurors are allowed to be online as long as they are with the bailiff, who is looking over their shoulders.

The man in the video isn’t proven to be RA.

Hopefully, if they had a still from the video clearer than an 8 bit video game from before I was born they would have posted it and arrested him years ago? Just my opinion.
I didn’t say the video proves BG=RA. I was responding to another poster who said the video is circumstantial evidence. It is direct evidence.

Unfortunately, the video is from a frightened teenager’s iPhone. If it were not for the video, LE would have had even a harder time narrowing down a suspect.

Libby is a hero - at least to me, and to many others - for capturing her killer on camera.

This is all my opinion and only my opinion.

IANAL, but I have watched a lot of trials. I have a pretty good grasp on what's OK and not OK. I have seen many post-conviction/pre-sentencing instructions to spectators to not wear T-shirts, colors, emblems, etc. to the sentencing.

Shouldn't the same rule apply to the actual trial? How is this OK??? Does the judge know this is happening?!

In my opinion, this should be grounds for a mistrial before it even begins.

None of us discount the fact that Abby and Libby were victims of a horrible crime. But this is America. We are ALL innocent until proven guilty. I'm fired up.

As always, JMO.

‘Typical days for jurors will begin in the courtroom at 9 a.m. and work through to noonish with a morning break.
I am really glad to see that. In my work experience, a lot of efficient work and progress can happen in those morning sessions. But if you allow a break around 10:30 it really breaks up the morning momentum--wastes a lot of time. People are usually fresh, ready to go and able to concentrate from 9 to 12ish.

Gull said she typically gives 90 minutes for lunch ― sometimes longer, sometimes shorter. The afternoon sessions will have a break and usually end by 6 p.m., but sometimes longer, Gull said.
Sounds good to me.
They will work Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.’

I’m with you on this one TTF. It’s not ok.
It would be ok for the girls neighborhood or something, not the courthouse.

But these aren't INDIVIDUALS wearing Abby/Libby t-shirts. This is a memorial type effort in honour of the girls from the city. The trial is about their deaths. But those ribbons are not making any comments about guilt or innocence. IMO

But I can see how it might be misinterpreted so it will probably be relocated to the shopping area or someplace.

MOO is I don't want people there to forget this is about Libby and Abby. These were their favorite colors. I cannot be upset with those who want to honor these beautiful girls.

It's on the courthouse. It's (almost) literally making a statement that the COURTHOUSE/(judge, jury, etc.) is on board with this man being charged with this crime.

I am shocked this is happening in my America. Just my opinion.

Will there be audio analysis of the "down the hill" recording and RA's actual voice?

(Sorry if this has been previously discussed. I have been in and out of these threads over the years but am catching up now that we are on the eve of the trial.)

TIA.

Have no fear... The Prosecuting team will prove that RA=BG=Killer of Libby & Abby

I'd love to know! As far as I know, we haven't seen a witness list, have we?

IMO it's not ok. I bet she's aware of it now.
