BBM

BG quickly walked.

KA’s video showed RA as very limber, quick movements, compact; moves like Jagger KA says.

Would have taken seconds for the little pervert to scoot so eagerly right up to the girls.

There’s been opinions posted for years on WS that BG bearing down on them so quickly and intently was what scared the girls.

all imo
KA has a video of RA posted somewhere? Do tell. :-)

FWIW Lee Wallace is a trial lawyer with 31 years of experience that spans 20 different states. She has worked both defense side and plaintiffs side. She is still practicing today.
Appreciate the suggestion but I believe the point some are suggesting is there are many casters (YT, podcasts, etc.) that may offer detailed reporting of events but also tend to wear certain hats versus neutrality that adds more melodrama or noise than is necessary. Touchy subject - almost worse than politics. Nothing I’ve said implies any source is better than another, just my observations.

As far as I know we are not allowed to post anything from KA's SM. But google might be helpful... in theory.

Hello friend,

I’m curious, is the D up in arms over the video such as filing motions or objections in these reports? If they aren’t maybe the reporting could use some enhancing of its own to clear out unnecessary background noise. Just offering some perspective for the sake of clarity. If one isn’t happening then I’d assume it would be safe to ignore the other for the time being. Does that make sense?

Your curiosity is valid. I’ve noticed the same thing.

I wonder if certain youtubers are subtly insinuating RA isn’t being properly represented or is it just the fact they’re merely an observer posing questions already resolved by the D in discovery or their background work. Otherwise it’s a valid question, why isn’t the D filing motions or objections to what is being expressed that ought to be their concerns? Nobody can possibly take over the D role by sitting in the gallery. MOO

#UPDATE: Updates from day 8 in the #Delphi double murders trial.

- We heard from one witness. ISP Lt. Jerry Holeman took the stand.
- Holeman interviewed Richard Allen on Oct. 26, 2022. That's less than two weeks after Allen's home was searched and several of his phones, car, and guns were seized. That recorded interview eventually led to Allen's arrest.
- He first explained his technique for questioning a suspect. He spoke about the common practice of lying to suspects about the amount of evidence investigators have.
- At the start of the interview, Holeman said he didn't plan on arresting Allen, but still read him his rights.
- He asked Allen if anyone borrowed his car, clothes, or gun for long periods of time, to which Allen said no. Allen also denied having his firearm on him on Feb. 13, 2017 - the day of the murders.
- He then explained to Allen that a forensic report said the cartridge found at the scene had been cycled through his SIG Sauer P226. Allen had no explanation and said that was not possible.
- Holeman said Allen's demeanor changed.
- Holeman then told Allen there were witnesses who said he was the man in the "Bridge Guy" video.
Holeman said in court this was not true, but was used as a way to spur on reaction.
- Allen denied at least 20 times that he was the killer and that his gun was there, according to Holeman.
- "I am not going to tell you something I didn't do...l don't care what you do to me. I am not going to ever tell you something I didn't do," Holeman said Allen said in the interview.
- Holeman said Allen confirmed he was on the High Bridge on Feb. 13, 2017. They took a brief break during the interview.
- Holeman said he noticed a few subtle signs of deception in Allen.
- After meeting with other investigators, Holeman determined Allen would be arrested.

My problem with the way Judge Gull is handling public access to the trial is we can’t ‘know’ what the testimony said because everyone reporting on the trial is working off written notes.

RSBM

I certainly am having this problem with the time line. For instance LL gave a time for the final minute the phone went dead from Cecil's testimony that is after the time the girls were found. I wondered if this could be accurate, but as i have not heard any other reporting on this, so am stumped.

A few thoughts:

  • Has RA's car reveal any DNA or evidence belonging to Abby &/or Libby?
  • Has RA's Apple health app or Apple Fitness app shown any previous trips to the trail, meaning is this a trail he would often go to?
  • Aren't fish actually resting at the bottom of water during colder months; however, unseasonably warmer that day.

Has anyone who watched the full video shown the other day said he was close to them at the beginning of it?
47 second video, he had to be close, he had to be moving fast and overtook them in under a minute, but no, I don't think we know how close he was. But Libby was filming BG, AW was fearful he was behind her, so the threat was behind them, not in front of. And if suddenly there was a second man, in front of them, then BG watched it happen. But, as I see it, there's just no evidence to support a second abductor. For one thing, the chaotic crime scene. IMO that's not the work of two captors controlling two victims. That's one captor who lost control of the situation he created.

The Murdersheet isn’t stirring the pot, they’re simply describing their observations from inside the courtroom. If one of them offers an opinion it’s very clear it’s only an opinion. JMO
What I appreciate about their coverage is
a) they disagree with each other on details. As in - I thought I saw this, but you disagree, so lets see what the jury heard.
b) their approach is terribly boring. In the best way. 'We were sitting exactly these many rows back. The acoustic was as such, as evidenced by JG asking the witness to speak up and another person next to me straining to hear. Because of the above, I think we might have missed a, b and c, but we are more confident about d. Also, evidence e we are certain about, because we double-checked with person a and b from the media pool. Now if anyone has heard otherwise, do let us know, we are hallucinating mildly from lack of sleep'
c) corrections/clarifications. They do state things they might have misstated on the top of each episode, or things that they realised they weren't clear on.
d) I also follow all the live blogs of the MSM and I see time and time again that what they state as 'fact' is corraborated.

But also that's all MOO and I understand that the sections where they state their opinions might be annoying to people. I enjoy reading newspapers that go against my own politics so I can argue with them in my head, so again, personal preference.

@NewsyBarbara

We are also expecting to see video of Allen's two interrogations. As well as hear all about those confessions he made while in custody at Westville maximum security prison. State should be nearing end of its case, as they indicated they needed two weeks to present case.

The defense originally indicated they needed closer to 3 weeks to present their case. But that was before Judge Gull limited their ability to present a third party defense. They are still fighting to get that in (re: Odinism and alternative suspects).

I just can't imagine him moving fast across that bridge. By reports it's missing planks and isn't something you can swiftly move across, caution has to be used.

1) Not so far but the DNA expert will testify today.

2) RA's attorney's have stated that he was familiar with the trails.

3) Not sure, but him watching fish or not, is neither here nor there for me in terms of his guilt or innocence.

I have no idea what the defense think of the BG video? We don’t get live reporting nor transcripts so who knows tbh.

Also what they do or don’t do at this stage could come under strategy in any case so I don’t choose to take any inference.

I suspect we’ll have to wait for the defence to put on their case in chief to find out more.

There’s a world of difference imo between defense attorneys providing commentary via podcast reporting (regardless of notions of bias) and what the defense want to do and are allowed to do. Same for the prosecution and reporters sympathetic to their theory of the case.

Overall, and JMO, a lot of heat created all round but less actual light!

We're not privy to the video so all I can do is report from somebody who has seen it, and maybe has a better appreciation of the distances etc.

If the conversation from that person is stymied at what a cell phone subject’s position is in a video and how does a predator cross a bridge to start an attack I can say from reading WS –quickly- and the subject always appears further away in a cell phone video.

But I am informed on the distances so its not news nor a mystery as it is being presented.

RA/BG when he saw the two girls in a good position darted across and confronted them.

Isn't it like what the National Guard RA was in do all the time for training. They scurry across objects and barriers carry and climb.

One could say that RA is trained to have BG skills so no surprises he's physically capable of the crime starting from crossing the bridge he is familiar with from he says going out on it and standing on it.

I am smiling because coincidentally there is a news story in the UK atm about Katie Price running like a gazelle through a parking lot, bushes, and jumping 25 feet - breaking both of hers, because allegedly her partner at the time found out that she was messaging another man. Allegedly.

All this to say, people are capable of so so much when they have the right motivation. I don't need to imagine, personally, we have seen so many examples of ppl performing superhuman feats of strength and agility to accomplish their goals.

And again, MOO, speed-walking on a bridge he's walked on a 100 of times is not even that big of a feat.

I don't think there is one. If you're referring to what's sticking out of his jacket, I think that's his shirt.

All the killer needed was a boxcutter that could easily fit in a pocket, and a gun that would probably be holstered (likely inside the waistband).

A man willing to kill two girls in broad daylight isn't worried about "caution." He had business to attend to.

100%, I thought there was a fanny pack at first but now all I can see is a billowing shirt. I think, at least.
