Abby is a mystery. The state did not explain her death at all imo.
IMO: he snapped her neck and cut her throat at the same time. IMO, it’s why there wasn’t much of her blood there and why she didn’t grab at her neck to stop the bleeding. Apparently it can actually go missed in an autopsy

Actually from 2 of the lawyers that were at the trial and taking copious notes and other media he said what the other poster said. Basically anything they want.
Here is the link:

Quote:

Allen’s calls played in court

During a call on Nov. 14, 2022, Allen told his wife if the situation became “too much,” he’d talk to investigators and tell them what they wanted to know.

His wife, Kathy, replied, “You need to just hang in there.”

“I’m sorry, baby,” Allen responded. “It’s just one more thing I f***** up for you.” He told her he loved her.

@KaitlynReports

Prosecuting attorney Nicholas McLeland began by saying Feb. 13th is "a day this community will never forget."

“A day Abigail Williams and Liberty German were killed by Richard Allen."

McLeland talked about how "this type of thing doesn't happen in this small community."

He also discussed the search efforts on the afternoon and evening of February 13, before the jury was shown photos of the crime scene.

Jurors were shown photos of the girls dead bodies, and they also say the photo of Libby German's cell phone covered in water and dirt.

McLeland talked about cartridge found at the crime scene.

Much of the prosecution's closing arguments focused on the video Libby captured at 2:13 p.m.

The video, McLeland said, "the moment Abigail and Liberty were kidnapped."

He also told the jurors "something told Liberty to record this."

I guess there goes the complaint that no one checked to see if the phone was wet or dirty and could have debris in the jack port. OBVIOUSLY it could have and did, imo.

No indication she had a broken neck.

Did we have testimony to support that Abby had been crying? I know the testimony suggested Libby may have had a tear on her face. I didn’t hear anything much about Abby aside her hands were clean - does anyone happen to know? Thanks in advance.
That's why I wtote:
"I think...."

That’s why I said IMO, also bc apparently they can go missed on an autopsy, and the ME really didn’t say whether there was no indication of it-didn’t say one way or another

Fair enough.

I'm behind so forgive me if this has been mentioned previously. It's probably nothing but... one of the defense lawyers handed a YT-er a yellow post-it note followed by a smile.

clean hands. In some of Libby’s clothes. Where were her clothes (I know never found). What the h*ll happened to these kids!! The state didn’t clear it up for me. They made it all more confusing imo.

Most of Abby's clothes were in the creek.

The state shows the jury more clothing, including a sweatshirt, two socks, a green head scarf, a tank top shirt, the other black Nike shoe, a pair of jeans and a tie-dyed shirt, all recovered from the creek.

No, I believe the witness on the stand said he was ordered 2 days later to retrieve the branches.
“Datzman denied it was a mistake not to take the sticks into evidence but conceded that he returned on March 3 — over two weeks later — to collect the same items at the crime scene on the orders of a higher-up at ISP. He used photos taken the day of Feb. 14 to ensure he collected the same sticks.”

They were left a few weeks according to that link. And worse, it was Dan Dulin who suggested they go back for them.

“Dulin testified to calling the investigation center and asking them to go back to the scene to collect the sticks.”

Just random.

I will not complain if the verdict is not what I expect.

I wasn't in the courtroom for every word of testimony but the jury was.

I trust their judgment.

A jugular injury alone would not prevent a scream. An external jugular injury would take some time to be lethal. An internal jugular injury could cause fairly rapid exsanguination, but there would still be time to scream. Unfortunately, a major injury can often lead to a mental shock where the primal instinct to scream is not activated. A tracheal injury, especially if associated with bleeding into the trachea could make a victim unable to scream.
Yes the mental shock alone could’ve prevented a scream but remember he had a gun and may have told the girls something to the effect, “don’t even think about making a sound or I’ll blow your head off!”, (ugh sorry for the graphic, I hate thinking about and typing that), which imo the girls would have complied if that were the case.
Those poor girls my heart bleeds for them thinking about the fear and pain they endured in their last moments on earth, taken from this world in such a brutal, horrific way is absolutely unbearable to think about.

My thoughts are with the families of Abby and Libby and with the jury as they process everything that was presented at trial, evaluate and deliberate.
I personally do think RA is the perp/guilty but judging from the division here, not feeling 100% confident the jury will hand down a guilty verdict, there could be one or two holdouts who knows.

IMO, juries are always a wild card so to speak but I do believe most jurors take their role seriously and more often than not, get it right.
My own personal opinion on chances of final verdict:
90% Guilty
8% Hung Jury
2% Not Guilty (which we know does not always mean Innocent!)

IMHOO

Justice for beautiful Abby and Libby

That’s what I thought I remembered. Thanks for finding that. I was too lazy to look it up.

Nope
It was a haphazard attempt to cover the bodies of Abby and Libby, who was naked, to avoid them being discovered quickly and to give him time to get out of there.

JMO
Agree.
He could see what eyeshot they were in, he dragged Libby closer to Abby and threw some basic cover over them.

No he didn’t - this link transcribed it as follows: “Richard: "If this is too much, call the investigators and I'll tell them whatever they want."

It’s important, IMHO, to remember everyone is furiously scribbling notes, and some accounts may differ by a word or two…
The precise transcripts of the trial will hopefully be available after the conclusion of the trial.

I stand corrected.

When I read about his testimony, Dulin said he canvassed the crime scene. He was there on February 17, 2017.
He testified he found sticks and branches that caught his attention. He said they had blood on them and were piled up in a 5-foot area.
Dulin testified to calling the investigation center and asking them to go back to the scene to collect the sticks.

(This is why I thought he testified it was in a couple days.)

Probably another Fantasy theory to go spread on the internet and SM
