I don’t disagree with you. I just Goole imaged first day of school getting on the bus incase the schools have migrated away from backpacks since my two went to school, and every single student, regardless of age, is boarding the bus with a very large backpack. Comical to look at the little ones whose backpacks are half the size of the student.
From what the stepfather shares, IMO/moo, given the stepfather’s description of its colour before versus after they went missing, the backpack was not something Lilly used while outside and playing, etc. He describes it as white after eight+ months of school. He also knows the kids’ behaviour. If he says he can’t see it (because that’s not what Lilly typically did with it,) I believe him.
“..they took their boots, that’s pink boots for Lilly and blue boots for Jack with dinosaurs on them. Lilly had her backpack with white, it was white with strawberries on it. I imagine if they’re in the woods, that it’d be probably brown. But I don’t see them carrying their backpack. I don’t see him keeping a pull-up on for that long after it got soaked from the very first day…we only found the two boot tracks outside of the house. (Where abouts?) Uh, right beside the house, about 10 feet away from the backyard…."
