This is from yesterday, same update about the RCMP request but you get to see a little more of DM.
Also, the reporter says DM told her he passed the polygraph

I find it odd that very early on after her initial interview with press MBM was told not to discuss the case with the public (press) per her own mother. And yet DM continued to give interview after interview for the next week and then he stated he'd been told to stop speaking publicly about the case. Was he not told that at the same time MBM was told? If not then why not? If so then why did he apparently not heed that directive?
I also found it odd that they did their interviews to the media separately.

Just thinking back about how the ‘Last Seen’ date has been a huge missing piece all along. It was a criticism of the RCMP for witholding that vital piece of information ever since Lilly and Jack were reported missing on Friday, May 2nd. Then the school bus driver spoke to the media and recalls dropping the children off on the Tuesday of that week. Although it was the date he last seen them, it might’ve been interpreted that was the “last seen” date.

So now we have it, the children were last seen in public with family members in the afternoon on May 1st, the day before they were reported missing. (That also gets the bus driver off the hook for the undesirable status of last to see.)

We got what we asked for - last seen the afternoon of May 1st. This may toss out various theories but what does in mean? IMO it removes a degree of doubt from the “wandering” scenario.

I seem to recall DM saying their boots were kept by the front door.

Do you have a link? I don’t recall anything at all mentioned about a front door, it’s always the sliding glass door.

“She had a pink shirt on. We could hear Jackie in the kitchen. A few minutes later we didn’t hear them so I went out to check. The sliding door was closed. Their boots were gone.”
He surmised the children slipped outside through a sliding door.

Martell told CBC News on Friday via e-mail that he was told by police not to disclose updates during the investigation.

The children's maternal grandmother, Cyndy Murray, has said police have advised the family against speaking to the media.

In a Wednesday update, RCMP said they’ve confirmed the two were “observed in public with family members on the afternoon of May 1” based on details they’ve gathered. They later clarified that confirmation was made by both video evidence and eyewitness accounts.

In an interview Wednesday, Martell reiterated he offered to take a polygraph test, which he said has now taken place.

“I do have results and I don’t know if I can share those results, but they were good in my favour. I’ll say that,” he said.

“Trust the RCMP word and, I mean, you don’t have to trust my word, but I’m the only one doing media for Jack and Lilly — trying to keep this story alive and get them found,” he said.

and just like that DM speaks again. What happened to him saying he was cautioned not to disclose updates? He didn't even last a week. Almost like he cannot help himself.

Sigh, this case is maddening. Where are Lily and Jack?
Red bolded.
It feels like I've heard that before ?

Purple bolded:
Maybe LE told him he can now speak freely and disclose whatever he wants to reveal ?

Yes I'm being facetious.
This case is sad and strange.
Seriously, though -- maybe LE want to keep him talking ?
(For whatever reason.)
Imo.

DM says he's not sure he can share the results of the polygraph, and then shares the results in the next sentence.

Didn't hear any worry about the kids. If they've been abducted doesnt he wonder if they're warm, injured, being fed?

Moo

In your opinion, what update did he reveal?

I was thinking this refers to investigative updates, for example awhile back he told the media the water searches were unsuccessful prior to the RCMP publicly releasing that same information. The RCMP would not want him preempting their updates on the case even if/when a liaison officer shares it with him in advance.

Taking a polygraph, even the results is absolutely meaningless as it’s known to be unreliable.

I will try to find the link, if it exists. I think it was DM who said it during an interview.

I am still very open to the possibility that neither DM nor MBM are involved; however, I'm no longer open to the possibility that the children simply just disappeared on their own. Other people live on (or frequent) this property but have not appeared or spoken publicly. As usual, those who speak the most are also scrutinized and criticized the most.

without knowing the history of the family dynamics, (and I mean all of the families, daniel, MBM's, and bio dad) its hard to know if there is any reason anyone would take the kids. I almost hope that is the case and they are alive. Time will tell.
@iveyguy said "As usual, those who speak the most are also scrutinized and criticized the most." thats so true. At least here, its a little more respectful than some other platforms I've read.
I go back and forth on what happened, no strong feelings one way or the other. This is a tough one.
