I wonder how things would be different for him if he didnt share the family views that saturday after the dispute, thats what got peoples wheels turning.,

I would be extremely angry if I were in his shoes and being accused without any proof that I did something nefarious.

If it was a child sized print (the news release doesn't say specifically but kind of infers it with the new search), then it certainly does lend more credibility to the idea that the kids were on a wee adventure that went horribly wrong.

I don't think they will find the kids in the woods. Daniel looked and called for them for two hours before they called the police. More than 100 volunteers then called and looked for them for 4 or 5 days. They are not out there. Someone has taken them or hidden their bodies.

Angry, frustrating, all that.

The RCMP have not issued more than half dozen updates. In the past 28 days there’d have been several long lags of nothingness if not for Daniel, as nobody else seems interested in talking to the media or keeping Lilly and Jack’s disappearance in the headlines.

So I do give him credit for that, as difficult as it must be for him to throw himself out there knowing he has become a target of accusations by some.

thank you. I think what confused me is that someone (DM, a searcher, can't recall) at one point described the boot print as near the trailer. So if you look at the photo of the vicinity I shared above, if the boot print was found on that logging trail that is a very great distance IMO from the trailer.

ETA it has also been described as "on the edge of the property"

At one point, search crews did find a possible boot print that appeared to be from a young child, which led to an extensive, grid-like search around that area. MacKinnon says nothing came out of that search, and no other signs of the children have been located.

If they are still describing that same boot print I am a bit disappointed. It sounds as if the area of boot print interest has been searched pretty extensively already at least twice. Hoping maybe third time is the charm.

Looking at this I have a hard time believing the kids would venture into the dense woods. They had plenty of room between the properties to play that morning. I don’t think they would have strayed far from home. Moo Where are they? Where are the clues they wandered? So many questions.

If he is innocent, and he currently is, then I understand the anger/frustration. Fingers are naturally being pointed at parents. I would be furious and scared
I think what throws the scenario off is... he's talking too much, and she's not talking at all. Those are her children, or does he feel responsible and guilty somehow, maybe for simply falling back asleep?
Glad they are attempting another search, I'm sure the public will feel assured that LE are giving it their all. I hope. they check that Recreation Area for recent campers, vehicles, etc. Kids could have easily walked there, or been driven there in a minute.

Or they wandered farther than the search parties reached. The case I recall was a grown man who was located by a privately hired PI about a month after he disappeared. He was just beyond the search area and had apparently fallen and hit his head. So perhaps, they wandered just a little beyond where the searches have ended.

We can't take it as bonafide truth unless it comes from the RCMP themselves.

It might help if DM said less and spent more time searching, but maybe he's working 40-60 hours a week, I don't know.

Has anyone found where this pipeline trail is? is it an actual trail called pipeline trail? or is it where they put in a pipeline? There is a pump jack just off gairloch road, If theres a pipeline Im assuming it would be there, I'll attach the link , if someone knows how to read these maps maybe it will help ( i dont know if this is exactly where theyre looking, but have a look see what you think.
